Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Yes and No. I guess it depends on if you're counting completed or in progress levels. I count levels where they have actual steel in the case of the floors and the to the top of the core in the case of the core. So using that model I conclude: 1). The steel goes to level 30. Also the curtainwall stops at level 11, if you count from there you'll get 30 (non-completed steel levels) 2). The core is usually 3-4 levles ahead of the steel. So it can't be at 31 (probably 34 because they'll be raising the platform this week). I base my count off the sitesight cam. I could be wrong but this is what I think?

I think all the "articulation" will be towards the top when they add the tiara and such. But yeah the front does sort of look blah! Anybody know when that darn webcam is going back up? Geez it's been out for awhile now!

Hey Ronnie I got these for you! From today 11-01-09. They were raising the crane another 80ft today, woot! I'd say the core is at a good 450ft now, because it almost looks the same height as the Scripps center but maybe a little shorter. Also I believe they are on the 30th level with steel and level 34 with the core! Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

You know it's interesting they raised the core twice this week. Once on Sunday and again on Friday! Will this be a new pattern or are they trying to get more steel up so they can tie the crane down for another raise next week?

We all do, that's why we visit forums like this to discuss/debate over buildings/architecture in and around Southwest Ohio. If you don't like it move to another webpage.

Isn't OTR the bad part of town, why are they putting money in that "wretched" place? ...yes I was being sarcastic...guess it didn't translate too well on an electronic forum? I knew this would get a response out of Shermal cuz he and I discussed this once before...but I couldn't help but think about that TV show about the murders/crime in OTR and thought it was funny...oh well guess not.

So the height of the roof is actually 36 ft shorter than Carew Tower, now that 550 that's the roof height not the height with the spire? I don't care about Tiaras and Spires...they are like whipped cream on a pie, you only care about the pie not the whipped cream.

^ Sighs... Those designs look horrible? Red and Tan bricks with metal? Does anyone else find these images appalling?

What will be the total height of QCSII with elevation? Will it really be taller than Carew Tower if you take elevation above sea level into account? For some odd reason this building is actually shorter than Carew tower because Carew tower has 49 floors, this building will have 8 fewer floors; but it's listed at 660ft? That tiara isn't that tall is it? I think this building is an illusion and Carew Tower will still be Cincinnati's true tallest building.

Shouldn't the core be the same height as the Chemed Building now?

Sherman those are great shots...I love the deep blue skies, you picked a great day to go shooting! They have got to step up on the curtainwall installation. This thing is more than 2/3 to the top and they only got 3 rows of alluminum siding.

Man at this pace they're going to be topped out by the end of the year! You sure they aren't ahead of schedule, lol! They only have 10 more floors to go or about 10 weeks.

Yes, every time they raise the crane they tie it down.

They raise the core every week starting tuesdays. But I don't think it's taller than Chemed yet because it's only at 31 stories. Could some one take some shots of the back/garage. That webcam is still down!

Hmh...You would think they wouldn't have trouble leasing it since it's newer and people flock to new buildings like flies on garbage. So, I think they would have had no problem finding tenants. I cannot answer your question about the city though.

That seems woefully inefficient. They'll be able to do 20 panels a day tops at that pace?

Anybody got any pics of that curtain wall that was suppose to be installed this week on the NE corner? It's hard to count but is the core on the 29th floor?

In their defense, those windows looked like S555 on sunday! lol but yeah quite funny!

I wonder where to? I happen to like the current location as it has a unique perspective on this site. It's the only cam that has eyes (so to speak) on the garage. The other cam only focuses on the front which is fine, but we need the location to remain at the back.

How old is that document? Everywhere I read it's 660ft? I’m sure there's some discrepancy sense (5) ft is hardly anything regarding height at this level.

Is that on the back side because we can't see it if that's on the back the darn cam is down. Only cam is up is the Sitesight cam. And there's no new curtainwall on that side, but I'm glad to hear they have more coming in. Seemed like for a while they just put up that one section and said ok that's it. lol

41 is the official number given at the website.

Some pics from today...not a whole lot in terms of curtainwall...but i guess it's a little bit taller...I think they're working on the 22nd floor. Apparently the garage is going up another 7 stories. They were raising the middle crane today.

I was heading downtown yesterday and man I could see QCSII from a distance now with great ease. I'm excited to see the progress as this thing is taking off rather quickly. I couldn't take any shots because I was just driving by, but man this is great!
