  1. Couple more daily photos add to my set of Flats East Bank phase 2: https://www.flickr.com/photos/14014567@N08/sets/72157642487692745/
  2. Flickr Photo Set: https://www.flickr.com/photos/14014567@N08/sets/72157642487692745/ Added the picture above to my photo set. It shows one of the cranes used to drill the columns holes in the ground for cement. They drilled the full depth of the rig that they used, so however tall that is was the columns into the ground.
  3. New photo added to set: https://www.flickr.com/photos/14014567@N08/sets/72157642487692745/ First Floor columns finished. Parking deck started to pour yesterday.

I really hope the Elio concept makes it to production. (http://www.eliomotors.com/) This makes so much sense that it will work if it's not poorly executed, or forced into changing by special interest groups backed by the auto manufacturers.
  5. Another cropped picture from my phone: OR Flickr link to today's photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14014567@N08/13311749403/in/set-72157642487692745 OR Flats East set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14014567@N08/13311749403/
  6. $47 million for a walking / biking bridge? but the one on this proposal to Wendy Park is only $5.7 million. http://rgabridges.com/docs/projectSheets/pedestrian/R+P_lakefront-connector-pedestrian-bridge.pdf Anybody have some info one what the extra $39 mill gets you?
  7. That's weird. I can't find the picture on flickr anymore, but I still see it here. I'm trying it again here:
  8. Won't the assessment go up just because of the near by development?
  9. More, more columns... Start of a parking ramp.
  10. Today's shot of stonehenge:
  11. The way my bus route works, I can either get off at Tower City and take the train or ride to the Federal Court House and walk down west 9th street. Walking is faster than transferring to the train 90% of the time. Once the weather gets to point to support human life again, I'll be walking it.
  12. Parking is $6 per day if spots are available, but it fills quickly. The under EY parking is $12/day. The current west of the track parking is monthly only, I believe. I can't remember how full it looked last time I paid attention to it. I'll try to see when I catch the waterfront line tonight.
  13. There are plenty of pointless surface lots in Phase 2. Maybe if there is a phase 3 they will convert one to a garage if the demand is there.
  14. Cement Columns are now rising from the frozen earth.
  15. 100+ foot deep cement and re-bar pillars are being created. It's good to see some action going on down there.
  16. Strom drain pipe being installed today under the phase 2 area.
  17. Those buildings on the north side better have some major sound deading built into them. I'm on the other side of the E&Y tower, 12 stories above the water and those train horns are loud as hell!
  18. Maybe it's in the laundry?
  19. ^ That's sad. Sounds like he had an attack or something. Do RTA or any bus drivers need to pass a regular internal physical like pilots before they are allowed to tranport people?
  20. I saw many of those windows plywood covered before Sandy. At least those seen from the webcam. I don't know why they are that way. The lake side windows may have damage, but I can't see them from most normal day angles.
  21. You mean that window? See Attached.
  22. Anyone know how to get the camera point back at the mall? http://www.clevelandmedicalmart.com/about/live-web-cam/ I like the blue sky shots, but that's not what I'm looking for...
  23. Mod, Please delete if too far off topic. I always thought it would be better to straighten the river on the south side. You could reuse two lift bridges that currently sit idle and move them to scraton road. (If the bridge can still operate.) You could still have the boardwalk to the skate park this way. Sorry about the image quality. My lack of photo editing skills combine with the 200kb image limit really hacked this up.
  24. You also have to remember that the new building is built on the side of the hill down to the flats. So the 3 garage floors are under the ground from the SouthEast side, but they are exposed on the NorthWest side. From the northwest it will look like 22 floors. 19 above + 3 garage levels.
  25. ^ $40 grand?! Hopefully the sign company that created it has gone belly-up now. That sign only worked properly for 18 months, if that. The sign's location near the road likely added to the road salt settling on it, but still not a good design to only work for that long.
