  1. I think that in their database, the Zip Code 44127 is given the city name of "Newburg Heights", while 44105 is given the city name of Cleveland. There's lots of Zip Codes on the East and SE sides that bear no relation to municipal boundaries.

That was sort of tongue-in-cheek, being half-Croatian myself

Probably due to rampant anti-Croatian discrimination
  4. Was this "Fairmount House" built and if so where is it? According to their website, Hunting Valley. Chances are, you can't see it from the road.
  5. it differs because someone new is getting the $800,000

Bitcoin ended up being a plot point on "The Big Bang Theory" last week. The Fed is also starting to "study" the whole blockchain issue, I'm seeing more and more references to them.

I think I-90 west wasn't completed until a little later than that. It wasn't completed in 1977 - when I started attending CWRU - and I would be driving in from Lorain County. For awhile, you picked it up westbound at Warren Rd.
  9. MCPc is the company that moved into part of the Plain Dealer building at 18th and Superior about four years ago - they came in from Strongsville. And at least part of that company is moving on to MidTown.
  10. The article indicated they were targeting office tenants. Kind of surprising. Maybe with all the older, cheaper office buildings coming off the market - he sees an opportunity to fill a niche
  11. It may not be permanent traffic - when I was working downtown and Shoreway construction had traffic backed up, I would switch to Detroit, and if that was heavy, I would switch to Franklin. (I first started using Franklin during the Captain America filming.) When construction is finally over, there shouldn't be the types of backups that would make that route viable from a time standpoint.
  12. Can you predict how this proposed merger would affect the city services in Lakewood? The same thing it would do to home values?
  13. I doubt they would have gone to the expense of putting the crane up if they weren't sure about going ahead with the project.
  14. Here is the confirmation story on Amazon for North Randall http://realestate.cleveland.com/realestate-news/2017/08/amazon_commits_to_north_randal.html
  15. Planes always land and take off into the wind (or as close to it as possible). That provides extra windspeed over the wings.
  16. I always thought this is where the IKEA should go.
  17. Are there any floodplain issues on this site?
  18. Will you also have to factor in a second set of "campaign contributions" to get this through the approval process?
  19. Sounds like a nice win for Tyler Village

At W 117, you're not going to move the tracks, and you're not going to move the streets, so what can you do?
  21. If you have a five-ride fare card I believe you get transfers with that, within a certain time period.

As does the Cleveland Clinic, I think, along with some of the utility companies and other big mail destinations

I believe 44113 goes to Ontario on the east, as far south as Clark in Tremont, and over to W 45 (or thereabouts) on the west. So it includes Warehouse District, Ohio City and most of Tremont
  24. The media market is 17 counties, from Erie County to Ashtabula County, as far SW as Mansfield, and as far SE as Carroll County. Youngstown is a separate media market, so Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana are not included. These markets are defined by Nielsen, and are officially called DMAs, or Designated Market Areas. Their reason for being is media ratings, for advertising purposes. You can find out about the CSA at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_statistical_areas which I believe is 13 counties.
  25. "Kill The Irishman", the movie about Danny Greene, was set in Cleveland but filmed in Detroit.
