Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
I've had the same problem with WJCU lately (my guess would be the past two weeks or so)mostly in the downtown to Lakewood area. Last night (July 10) there was no interference, but this morning WJCU was unlistenable when driving downtown.

Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
In ancient times, when I went to CWRU, the nearest movie theater was the CWRU Film Society. Every Friday and Saturday night. Plus the Heights Art Theater on Coventry was still open.

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
Phase 2 will be much more likely to have interaction with the street and with the Gilbert-operated arena across the street than interaction with the river.

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned (and I only noticed it now) but the new head of NOACA "a little-known but powerful agency that sets the transportation agenda in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Geauga and Lake counties" comes from public transit background (Chicago and Cleveland RTA) http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2012/05/post_17.html

Cleveland: Help planning a small wedding reception
I believe there is a party room at Sweetwater's Landing - the small restaurant at the boat launch ramp in the Rocky River Metropark. I have no idea what kind of catering they do.

was that where Mt Sinai Hospital was?

Cleveland: "The Avengers" Picture Thread *SPOILER ALERT*
Yes, it was the "bad guys" lair, or "good guys possessed by bad guys" lair. If we hadn't been down there for Ingenuity, we probably wouldn't have known it was a Cleveland locale.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Many of those buildings are live-work artists lofts. There is usually an open-house type event over a weekend in the summer when you can tour them. Idon't know when the next one is scheduled.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Local, unique, retail stores. Yes Cleveland is missing that. We dont really have any cool, interesting, large or small, shops downtown anywhere. You may have just hurt Dredger Union's feelings

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
" The Horseshoe Casino gift shop opens tomorrow at 10am." May 14th is probably the "hard opening" isn't it (if I remember my terms from "Ocean's 13) and they could well have people in earlier for a soft opening. That's probably why the buffet is ready and the gift shop is ready.

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
There is one right across the street, at the Health Line Station. All you would really need to do is make a copy of that.

It looks like they are using cookies and not Facebook to track duplicate voting - so you should be able to vote from your work computer and your home computer.

Cleveland: Restoring Brick Streets/ Removing Asphalt Overlay
Brick streets are not bike-friendly. I used to live on Murray Hill Rd and used to bike a lot.

Incognito voting probably won't work, since the ballot is on Facebook - you have to be logged in to vote

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
You do know that WJW used to be in Playhouse Square - until they built their new building out along the Shoreway? The Hoolihan and Big Chuck Show used to start with a claymation of King Kong climbing up their building.

It's not the BP Building - it's the Sohio Building!

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
I worked in that building many years ago. The grand atrium part of the lobby can be easily cut off from the corridor that leads to the elevators. On Euclid Ave, the revolving doors on the west lead into the bank lobby. The set of doors farthest east lead into the corridor that goes to the elevators, then to a set of escalators that lead down to a shopping arcade (a Burroughs store, the Guvenors Pub, a barber shop and a coffee shop) below street level. This is where the tunnel connects under Chester Ave to the Ohio Savings Building and garage. IIRC, after banking hours (and at this time it was the Union Commerce Bank) the bank lobby was closed off from the rest of the lobby.

Cleveland: Catholic Diocese Church Closings
I think that the parishes under appeal were not sold. Of course, now they have to find priests to staff these parishes.

Have you ever taken the train from the Newark Airport into Manhatten?

Cleveland: Retail News
Linda Street probably refers to the two vacancies in the old Rockport shopping center - there was a good sized Rini-Rego that closed after the merger, and there is the vacant Target (which was built in place of the vacant Handy Andy/Forest city store)

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Some casino visitors will also be visiting in conjunction with a trip to the Q for a game or concert. In the winter, going through the gerbil tube is going to be preferred; that will expose them to Tower City, too.

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
Do they need their websites so that they can attract retail tenants and potential apartment renters? My guess is that they don't need it.
