Cleveland: looking for a good dentist
RnR, I would recommend Dr. Carrie Hansen. Its who my Wife and I have been going to for the past couple years, and as my wife hates the dentist and likes her I would say its a good dentist. I'm not sure what their hours are off the top of my head though, ph# (440) 887-0550. They are located in MH at w130th and smith.

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
There's also a data center company in there currently. Yes there is a data center. I think they take up 2 floors, maybe just one. However, I think that this is a much better use for the overall property. While I think it will be very difficult to remove the garage on the corner of Prospect and Ontario, just due to the cost and demand forces. I still think that doing this is a great idea. Before reading that I had no real idea just how large the May Co. building was. Thats eginormous! Additionally the restaurant, Pura Vida I think, is coming together. Drywall appears to be up on the interior so I am hopeful for a summer opening, but thats just speculation.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Work on the "Bike Rack" is starting to show. They have the entrances from E4th framed and supports for the canopy above them done. Lots of building materials on the inside too. Really looking forward to this being completed. Always thought of biking into work, but did not like the prospect of reeking for the rest of the day.

Columbus Crew Discussion
The weather could be the saving grace in today's game, hopefully it will slow down Salt Lake's possesion. The Crew are putting out a pick up team at this point as they have almost no experience playing together. It will either be close 1-0 type game or the Crew will get rolled. I can't see any other outcome.

^ it does contain Chorizo Sausage which is a bit spicy, so if she absolutely hates spicy stuff she may not like it. But it can be your call if you want to tell her what it is or not.

It appears that the Crepes De Luxe spot in the Arcade has closed. They have not been open in the morning or for lunch the last few times I have been in there.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
"Only be transit?" Please explain. I have no objections to any Public Square plan as long as it doesn't make the use of transit more difficult for riders or more expensive for RTA. Okay, that phrase-ology wasn't perfect. But what I was that many of the statements you were making sounded as if there should be no change to the current set up. Which I think would waste a golden opportunity to re-invigorate PS. Is there a specific change or set of changes to PS that you feel would make it more hospitable while also keeping the same level of transit service?

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
You seem to have a pretty set position that it can only be transit, so KJP are you in favor of keeping the square in its current alignment? Or is there another alternative that you favor that would combine some/all the quadrants?

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
^Hopefully Positively Cleveland will extend their hours. 9-5 in the winter and 10-3 in the summer are some pretty plum hours. They should go 10-7 all year. Allow visitors coming into E4th to learn about other things going on in the city before dinner.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
No there aren't, but I agree with the rest of your post. What are the sizes of the apartments that will be lost? At most it looks like 6,660 sq ft. but most likely less than that. So it really isnt a ton of space, but it is still some of, what i consider, the best apartments in DT. http://www.east4thstreet.com/live/the-windsor-building

I dont like the thought of eliminating those 4 apartments. As for the location, they had to move obviously, and this is a good front door into one of our entertainment districts. Probably one where the visitor center will get more use. I would hope that Positively Cleveland and The Sports Commission only take up store front space of the old City Blue store. Then leave the rest of the corner for whatever the Cleveland store/restaurant is going to be. This way they get the effect of being in the heart of the entertainment hub without compromising some valuable store front space. (channeling QM again) Why? There are plenty of available apartments downtown. I bet they will get more for those apartments as commercial space than they would from rent. Sometimes you have to look at a project and it's value and the how it plays in the larger scheme of the city. Losing for apartments isn't going to hurt East 4 or downtown. It's going to help other landlords. Well, somewhere on one of these boards it was posted that most of the apartment buildings are mostly full. So I would say that there are not "plenty" of available apartments directly in the heart of DT. I do agree with you that addition through contraction is possible and this may be one of those cases. And I actually think that Positively Cleveland at E4th is a good space for them. I just happen to agree with 327 that there is a dearth of market rate apartments in DT.

Isn't most of the second floor in the building their moving to residences? I could see them using the second floor of the old City Blue building, but that doesnt seem like it would have a great deal of space. Should be interesting to see what "Cleveland-centric" store ends up right on the corner though.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
^ agreed, and Im sure thats why it is on hold for now (at least hopefully only on hold). If the whole area becomes just townhomes it will have a very suburban-y feel to it. 68 units is not terribly large. Hopefully with the success that BP has already shown it will be doable.

^ and asking questions about the status of a project is a problem... its a simple question, and considering that we have some users who live in BP, they may have more information at hand.

All of those problems could likely be address with better funding, but there is a problem with the state and funding transit...

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Thats about all the cavs have going right now. Figure out if any of these Kids have talant and who should be kept and who should be moved. If you look at the box score from last night these are really a bunch of nobodys. 4 of last nights starting 5 are under 25.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
BTW those announcements that you are harping on have been pared down. They are made solely for the WSM, and Cudell Station on the WS (not sure about ES announcements as I dont ride that way). The rest of the announcements are just the stop, nothing else. Considering that I have been taking the Rapid for over 2 years now, very rarely I have I been late to work. 9/10 times I arrive at tower city at 7:55 am on the dot. All and all I would say it is pretty solid in terms of getting me where I want to go w/o the hassle of driving. Which this winter has not been to kind to.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Just because he isn't doting about how great the project is doesn't mean he doesn't have a point. The Medical Mart comparison to a mall w/ anchor tenants is probably pretty spot on IMO.

Perhaps to move to another part of the city. If they were seriously looking to relocate, Cleveland is diverse enough to find other places that may have met their needs. At least thats how I want to believe the conversation may have gone.

Cleveburgh?
Where's that separation thread, I know I put it somewhere?? Ohh, here it is: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,24993.0.html sounds like we need to include a few more areas in our new "state" :D :D :D

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. As a Panthers fan the struggles of the offense have been legendary. Hell, Jeff Davidson (you know former Browns coach/OC when Carthon was fired) was our OC coordinator. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Fox is hired if he brings Davidson in. The good thing about Fox, he likes a power running game. Bad, his defense is typically vanilla, that could be countered by Rob Ryan though.

Summer Family Location
You take that back. We did end up using some of the things you suggested. Besides, sometimes you have to let the wife decide what she wants to do and just go along for the ride. he he he he he he he he. Let the wife decide? What kind of man are you? Who wears the pants in your family?! One good backhand slap will straighten her out! Did she say the "love, honor and obey" portion of your marriage vows? Better to lose the battle and win the war. Not that marriage is a war or anything...
