  1. Here are some interior updates from the evening of August 18. Much still needs to be finished prior to the 23rd. I don't know what the status is with regards to any of the exterior entrance gates.
  2. As much as I would love to see retail retun I would rather see it back on the streets of Euclid Ave. I don't see outlets paying high rents in a downtown location. Thinking outside the box what if The Avenue turns into the lost Central Market when Gateway was built. Local residents have a direct access with links to public transportation.
  3. A few updates and observations. The rendering which was presented to The City and fans adjusted as the build happens. There sure seems to be very little structural steel components left off in the rendering than was engineered. I believe in truth in advertising and much has changed. I'll let you be the judges. 1. Pepsi signage area. big change in angle 2. speakers added into orange area 3. orange area changed shape and size 4. "Sherwin Williams" sign floats instead of resting on top of video board Also note the square video board to the left of the main board was dismantled today. Not sure what the issue was but not a good sign with such a tight finished schedule.
  4. The construction of the residential complex looks to be solid. Nice to see concrete floors between levels to minimize the noise.
  5. This is what I think would look better
  6. I agree. Also the contrast of blue with all the green padding around the field is disturbing. FYI Michelle from The PD states http://www.chasedesign.net are the architectural firm chosen. Not 100% sure that is accurate after looking at their website. If it is true, I am concerned what makes them qualified to design a ballpark?
  7. The best news is that all these renovations are privately funded and no plan on raising ticket prices for any of these enhancements. Well done. I like the idea of incorporating the burroughs. I hope they include a bit of The Central Market history. Btw. whom is the architect that designed the enhancements?
  8. I like where they are headed with the renovations! Kudos
  9. Incredible news! I wish some of tho development could incorporate a revised version of The Central Market for the growing downtown residents
  10. Whomever is the buyer I hope they infuse some new life into The Avenue. A shelf life for a typical mall is ten years before it becomes obsolete. It must update and stay with the time or (as can be seen) left to become a shell.
  11. That would be brilliant! Thanks for posting
  12. http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2014/08/cleveland_bicycle_expressway_c.html#incart_river Put Cleveland bicycle expressway where streetcars once rolled down wide streets, planners say CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A big, bold way to connect Cleveland neighborhoods, pump up businesses and add tree-lined bikeways to miles and miles of city streets is hiding in plain sight. The paved-over tracks of Cleveland's once-extensive streetcar network left some of its main avenues far broader than needed for the traffic they're handling. Bike and community advocates say that buried transit system can be transformed into "the Midway" -- a center-of-the-road, two-way bike lane protected on either side with boulevards, with a lane of traffic and a parking row on either side of that.
  13. While I applaud the effort to improve the street, the details appear temporary. What ever happened to tree lined streets and benches which actually seat people. The planter boxes look like something you would find in a children's playground.
  14. My Dad was the timekeeper for The Cleveland Browns for 25 years in the 60's 70's and 80's. I was lucky to have grown up on the field of Municipal Stadium. There was nothing better than the grit and power of The Dawg Pound bleachers. No matter any of these renovations the fans of Cleveland make this stadium the best.
  15. new west scoreboard up and running.
  16. The east end zone video board has begun it's install
  17. Does anyone know where the underground connector to the convention center will be located?
  18. They are now moving at lightning speed.
  19. While I am glad to see the updates to the stadium I am disappointed the structural steel doesn't repeat any of the details from the original design. It all feels as an add rather than seamless.
  20. It appears some structural miscalculations occurred on the east end zone scoreboard construction . The vertical I beam was removed at the south east end which had been up since July 1. On the earthcam Saturday they were beginning to construct the rest of the frame work and something wasn't connecting properly.
  21. Was the annex always just for parking when originally designed?
  22. What building/video are you referring to?
  23. That is a skywalk I wouldn't mind seeing built
  24. Rosales + Partners has designed The North Coast Harbor Bridge. I wish/hope they would be the number one choice for the connector bridge. With some slight modifications I would take their CWRU planned design and fast track it. Iconic and functional. Heck maybe CWRU could sponsor the bridge. http://rgabridges.com/project.php?proj=pedestrian/cwru
