Cleveland: Flats East Bank
http://cifeb5.blogspot.com/2014/07/cifs-I-829-approvals.html#more Tuesday, July 8, 2014 CiF’s first EB-5 Investors are issued their Permanent US Green Cards Over the past several months, EB-5 Investors participating in CiF’s Flats East Bank Phase I Project have begun to receive their Permanent US Green Cards. The USCIS has started to approve Flats Phase I Investors’ I-829 petitions, thereby granting these Investors and their families permanent US residency. The Flats East Bank Phase I Project was the first EB-5 Investment CiF offered to international investors and this represents a major milestone for CiF as a USCIS Regional Center. Structuring EB-5 Investments that successfully yield a Permanent US Green Card is a complex process and CiF is pleased to deliver US residency to our investors.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
https://www.honestbuildings.com/organization/#/5431/projects/80572 First rendering I have seen of the planned renovation of the atrium space. Not sure ifI am a fan of the removal of the planters. 200 Public Square Public Sq Cleveland, OH 44114 Westlake Reed Leskosky developed a concept design for new signage/wayfinding and re-imaging of the eight-story atrium and public/retail space for this 41- story office building on Public Square in the heart of Cleveland’s Central Business District. The new concept calls for the removal of existing planters in the atrium in order to make the space usable for gatherings and events. WRL is also designing a new 5,400 SF casual self serve eatery for Zach Bruell, one of the City’s top chefs and owner of numerous other upscale Cleveland restaurants. The design of the space is intended to complement the building’s elegant characteristics and to capture the flavor of the great turn-of-the-century urban food markets, where distinctly urban materials and details balanced the grandeur of a distinguished central hall. It replaces the county's former headquarters, which was demolished earlier this year to make way for a planned convention center hotel.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
The City policy should be as such for demolition to occur. First. the fines paid. Second the building should be placed back into habitable conditions as codes require. Third a moratorium of minimal 24 months of keeping the property in good condition. If after two years then the owner can apply for demolition if no interest or buyer/owner sees potential with repurpose. Also anything replacing the property at minimum must replace minimal square footage

The only wish I would have liked with "the 9" was if it was incorporated into the square cutout.

Cleveland: Warehouse District: Development and News
I found this under current developments. Not sure how accurate it is under Vintage Development Group's website. These are the folks behind Battery Park http://www.vintage-group.com/current_developments.asp District Park Willoughby, OH District Park is a Chicago-style residential development in the Historic Warehouse District that will take downtown living in Cleveland to a new level. I am surprised by the name change after an extensive rework of all marquee signs were just revealed. Lastly wouldn't it be most fitting to rename the theatre The Sheperdson Palace ? After all he was the man responsible for saving these theatres. Anyone can write a check, maybe not 9 million,. But does writing that check earn your name on the marquee?

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
What many forget is Public Square was once the oly open green space assigned to downtown. The Malls of the 1903 Group Plan didn't exist. I feel once this open save was established PS became much more a transit hub rather than a park setting.
