Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Some notes. The Medical Mart has topped out. If you look at the center of the building you will see the fir tree and The American flag. Secondly, the first of the "tree" columns has been constructed. You can see it visible just past the right side of the above webcam screen grab The building is wrapped so the concrete pours are maintained at the correct curing temperature. http://www.clevelandmedicalmartonline.com/clevelandmedicalmart/index.cfm/news/topping-out-ceremony-marks-completion-of-medical-mart-steel-erection-020112/

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
http://archrecord.construction.com/yb/ar/article.aspx?story_id=168250278 Not sure where to put this but an interesting article regarding skyways. A continued argument against the planned skyway to adjoin the casino with its parking structure. Maze of Minneapolis Skyways: A Dead End? Jan. 22--Once the pride of Minneapolis, the city's 8 miles of skyways have become a villain in the vision for downtown's future. Prominent downtown boosters say the network of elevated walkways is sucking life from the sidewalks. Modern cities put a premium on a vibrant street scene, but business leaders noted in a recent 15-year plan for downtown that the skyways are "leaving sidewalks barren and storefronts empty."

Not sure how this was considered off topic since the plans/rendering obviously shows The Cleveland Aquarium in the proposal for Phase 2 of The Flats East Bank.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
What is interesting about the rendering from dar124 is the cleveland aquarium( not to be confused with the greater cleveland aquarium) situated between The Aloft and the phase 2 buildings along the river. Is this aquarium supposed to be part of The Flats East Bank Project?

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
http://www.shorpy.com/node/11184?size=_original this link shows the original detailing of The Schofield Building along with how it was originally intended to touch The Cleveland City Club building before its added deco base. I sure wish both of these buildings could be returned to their original glory.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
Not a fan of the renderings. The old and the new frontage have no cohesion. I definitely see no relationship to the historic burnham mall architecture. The hotel definitely needs to be renovated. I am happy to see the interiors upgraded. I think the architects need to refine the facade plans.

Cleveland: North Coast Harbor Developments
The EEKarchitects plans are dead. Those all relied on The Ports plans to relocate. I still think it is a shame this plan is dead. The concept was strong. The Browns Waterfront plan is not as effective. At this point I do not know if it is an effective reality. Way to many plans have been drawn up and yet none have come to fruition.
