  1. I hope that is true regarding programming PS. I remember the same was said about Malls A-B-C and very little programming has happened.
  2. Speaking of the cafe space, shouldn't we have heard whom was chosen to run the space and what will be served? I assume they have a say in the design
  3. To each their own opinion. My question/comment was if anyone had insight if it was in it's finished state.
  4. Looks fairly complete. What looks odd? The scale is diminutive compared to the rest of he podium details
  5. Is the steel canopy around the podium in its finished form along Ontario or will it be covered ? Appears an odd detail in its current state
  6. I wonder what the cuts would be without the additional funding. IMHO, I would eliminate the cafe.
  7. It is amazing how many buildings have had their original facades covered.
  8. Lockdog is correct. The bridge that completes the loop around the harbor.
  9. Does anyone know when the North Coast Harbor bridge supposed to be installed? This project has been in the works since 2007
  10. i wonder why the southern side never had windows. For a building, with such a prominent view from Public Square, I always felt the terra cotta details should have continued on the back.
  11. another pic of the light strip !
  12. The Ferro Mural The opening scenes of Welcome to the Wedding take place in the main concourse of Cleveland's Union Terminal. One of the most notable features of the terminal scenes is the Ferro Mural which was mounted on the south wall of the concourse. The Ferro Mural was created by the Ferro Enamel Corporation of Cleveland for the 1939 World's Fair in New York. It was designed by J. Scott Williams and its porcelain panels were painted by Cleveland art instructor Daniel Boza. After the fair, the mural was relocated to the Union Terminal concourse where it remained until 1982 when the concourse was renovated. Since then it has hung on the wall opposite the entrance to the Western Reserve Historical Society Museum. http://www.ohio66.com/wedding/ Photo in all its glory
  13. Great finds! Anything more about the mural? Stunning
  14. At least the Holiday Inn adds some height along Euclid Avenue.
  15. Thanks for sharing another great set of photos MayDay! I have a question. What is going on in the fourth photo at the Anthony J Celebrezze Federal Building?
  16. How many businesses/buildings have leases with the Huntington Garage with allotted spaces? Will this remain as an open garage for all or every space assigned?
  17. it is but the idea that parking could have been attached at the same price as what they are dumping into the Huntington Garage seems wrong
  18. What I find fascinating are the following comparisons Mr Applebaum stated on the too expensive to build 300 spaces under the podium. "That parking right now beneath the surface is about $60,000 per space, obviously very expensive to build that parking down there," said Appelbaum, who added they will look at alternate parking solutions but it's nothing that will slow work on the project" 300 spaces x $60,000 = $18,000,00 Huntington Parking upgrades/rehabilitation cost 18 million dollars plus now more money for an underground walkway and an additional half a million dollars to study the feasibility! Sad
  19. Skylight for the lobby? lol. In all seriousness, plans show fire escape stairs in this area. The outer glass wall will have a slight enclosed solid wall setback from the glass
  20. I have attached the rendering for reference. It appears the angled section above the bar is a skeletal glass surround.
  21. I would like to hear what Mr. Litt sees are the benefits for the setback exposing the ugly brick wall on the west side of the structure. Sure doesn't help that vista. If one is to comment on how well the building's setback helped than it should talk about all 4 sides. Epic fail in my opinion.
  22. Has anyone heard about status of the upgrades to The Malls? I sure wish any of the leftover tax money would go for the designs. The promenades are looking great. Can't wait to see the trees mature to provide more shade
