Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
Im very happy to see the blvd get some more push.. BUT.. I have to disagree with Conoovercourt.. I take the shoreway in from west blvd every day because of how "retarded" I--90 is.. from the drivers to the entire drive itself.. I hate it... I will use the blvd once completed for both the view and my hatred for of 90...

Cleveland / Lakewood: The Edge Developments
Fyi.. as a resident of cleveland (I live over off triskett and 140th... ) I am anxious for the GE on Clifton and 116th to move into the new digs with this project.. Adding target there is a HUGE convenience for me since I always have to have myself or the wife and the kids go out to RockyRiver or Parma or Avon to get to a target... Many people in my area do the same, spend our dollars (which are earned within city limits) however we end up spending it (and the local sales tax) in the suburbs... If you dont know this area well, dont speak.. There are some areas that are gorgeous, and others that are pretty dilapidated.. All in all, this project will help boost the local area in all aspects... Good for Rysar... Oh.. and no one is getting evicted.. The owners have all agreed to sell (so we are told) which to me means there not renting nor getting evicted.. Quite simply.. Cleveland is doing better...

Cleveland: Dexter Place Townhouses

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
Business/Municipality Services: BROWNFIELD REDEVELOPMENT FUND (BRF) The Brownfield Redevelopment Fund (BRF) is designed to overcome environmental barriers to reuse and obtain full use of underutilized commercial/industrial properties within Cuyahoga County. The primary focus is directed toward “first-ring” suburban communities. Job creation and/or retention is an expected outcome of cleanup and redevelopment. Eligible applicants include Cuyahoga County municipal corporations, non-profit community development corporations, and private developers/businesses. ---based on the first paragraph.. it should... The Loan Agreement between the County and the borrower will require reuse of the property for an industrial, commercial, research or distribution purpose, and that it obtain a “No Further Action” letter for the Project Site from a Certified Professional pursuant to Section 3746.11 of the Ohio Revised Code and the rules promulgated thereunder. ---based on the last one, I dont think residential counts... Heres the link to the full explanation http://www.cuyahoga.oh.us/development/services/municipalities/brownfield.htm

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
In regards to this project, I dont think they'rer over extended nor are they dealing with a learning curve... The land the propsosed Battery Park project is to be built on is horific.. . Remember, there was an everready plant at that location for years... Which means years of by product and waste have been buried in that location.. Cleaning it up or at least claiming responsibility for the damage done to the land is what is holding up the project... Ahhh the webs we weave... Personally, I dont understand why the city doesn't go after Everready for poisoning the land and making it so hard for development... The project will most likely be a go however not until the chemicals and whatever else is buried in that area is cleaned up and the investors don't lose sleep at night wondering if in 20 years down the road if they will have major lawsuits against them becuase the people who live in Battery Park are developing a 3rd arm or 2nd head or whatever..... I could be wrong... wounldn't be the first time...

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Average home value is $186k (not $100k) Also check out www.livingincleveland.org also has info on each "hood" in Cleveland, very cool stuff.. I actually have a cd they made that has pdf's of each areas outline, history, local develmoent contact info and some other stuff I cant think of right now... Good for Tremont.. I know the Townhomes of Ohio City has prices $375k-500k, but personally, Tremont has more of that village feel tucked right under the noses of most of the Downtown workers... go tremont!

MyTwoSense... Have you ever been to the Cinemas over at Tower City? Talk about seedy at night.. I went once... years ago... wont go back... its horrible... Tower City is just draws a bad crowd all around... I wish it was more upscale.. So yes, I think more cinemas would be a GOOD idea... Also.. do you work downtown? If so you would know that we NEED more parking spaces... rates are ridiculous as of now. Even thought the DP deal fell through, I would like to see more parking downtown.. No not surface lots, I hatem but, thats all we have.. I liked te idea DP was goign to implement with underground parking etc..etc... thats my 2 cents... Mytwosense... ;)

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Im assuming most of you know about the now "on hold" District Park project going on in Downtown Cleveland..... Pinnacle is looking very nice, walk by it everyday from the parking lot... And what 18 story building is converting to apartments on w3 and lakeside? Any future residents there may not be fond of the city jail coming out of the tunnel and ending up right on the doorstep of this new 18 story apartment building.... curious...
