  1. Thx! Figured as much about the tracks although I've never seen them used.
  2. Rooftop Picture of the Federal Building
  3. Who controls the "Watch For Emergency Vehicles When Flashing" signs? So many times these yellow lights are flashing and I never see an emergency vehicle!
  4. Does anyone know why the John Weld Peck Federal Building has a railroad track along the roof of the building?

Flu Shot - Yes N1H1 Shot - Probably not Also keep Cold-Eeze lozenges around. Used to have Zicam gel swabs for the nose at work/home until they were linked to losing your sense of smell...
  6. I forget exactly how I found this board, but it was while doing some research on QCSII. I've been waiting countless years for Cincinnati to get a new skyscraper, especially one taller than Carew. This is an awesome time in the city and to be able to share with others on this board makes it even better. I remember watching the 1990 World Series on television and there was a blimp shot of Scripps Center and the announcers talked about it being Cincinnati's newest skyscraper. Looking forward to when the Reds host the 2013(?) All-Star game and both Great American Tower and The Banks can be featured. Also looking forward to The Banks thread returning!
  7. They are unloading more curtain wall today. At least two 18 wheelers worth. It's all being carted via elevator to the 10th floor.
  8. Looks like the Catskeller has been remodeled since I was last there! Getting some good reviews... http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/17749/?view=beerfly
  9. Looking for some recommendations as well. Got six going to the UL game and we'll be taking the Streetcar, er Metro, from downtown to uptown. We won't have a vehicle to tailgate at and with the Calhoun bar scene long gone, I'm looking for a pre-game bar that has some good beers on tap. Go Cats!
  10. Per the article: "The tower will be connected to 303 Broadway, an office building in which some Western & Southern businesses are housed." AT the garage level it's been confirmed. What about the occupied floors?
  11. What they are installing now is covering the mechanical floors.

Is there any news/thoughts on the proposed Casino location, west of Huntington Park? I've only seen one story on NBC4i.
  13. Comparison pictures from today (overcast).
  14. They've been using a truck mounted crane so far for the curtain wall. Not sure where they'd put a 4th...
  15. ^Interesting... Were they enclosed in anything or just open to the elements and are people able to touch them?
  16. Finally there is additional information... Per the Business Courier of Cincinnati The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center will display a 12-by-4-foot piece of the Berlin Wall on its southwest lawn, Mallory said. The Freedom Center will create an outdoor learning exhibit around the wall, outlining its historic importance.
  17. I'm not against supporting the museum... I've paid to see it. Wasn't aware of the free days you speak of.
  18. 4-foot-by-12 foot My biggest beef with it's placement inside the Freedom Center is that it was a gift to the city, yet we'll have to pay to see it. I would have preferred that it been placed in it's own area outside the Freedom Center. Maybe even in the Riverfront Park.
  19. Freedom Center To House Piece Of Berlin Wall Per WLWT, the city announced Friday that the slab of stone will be placed at the Freedom Center. Thoughts?
  20. Per the Cincinnati Enquirer: Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory will announce today where the city’s piece of the Berlin Wall will be permanently displayed. The location will be divulged in a 10 a.m. press conference on the southwest lawn at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
  21. Skip the trip to the Vatican; Cincinnati's Studio Vertu will open here Studio Vertu, a maker of marble coasters and tiles sold by the Smithsonian, Williams-Sonoma and Toad Hollow winery, is opening its own outlet store, at Tower Place Mall.
