I could see Mike Brown working with Carl Lindner to upgrade the Bengals practice facility as ryanlammi[/member] mentioned. Call it United Dairy Farmers (UDF) Stadium and add the ability to inflate a bubble for Bengals practices.- FC Cincinnati Discussion

I had a month free trial of Sling TV and it included HBO. I'm on a 20Mbps/2Mbps FiOptics but that didn't seem to matter as the app or stream would freeze/stutter on occasion and I'd end up missing several minutes of programming. Not every channel allows pause/rewind so this became quite frustrating. Volume was also an issue. My TV volume is generally around 30-35. When watching Sling I had to crank it to 75-80.- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
City 'deeply frustrated' with streetcar builder The company building Cincinnati's streetcar vehicles is not providing answers for its expected delay – and the city is threatening legal action if the manufacturer doesn't live up to its contract. CAF USA Vice President Virginia Verdeja has not yet responded to a sternly worded letter from the city last Thursday. She also has not returned multiple messages from The Enquirer seeking comment about a production delay that could end up pushing back the service start date of the streetcar. "The city is extremely concerned about the projected delay," according to the letter obtained by The Enquirer. Cont- Cincinnati: State of Downtown
This property now has an "Under Contract" sign on it. New landowner could chart future of Fourth St. The set of buildings along Fourth Street Downtown that once housed the Gidding-Jenny department store and T.J.Maxx could soon have a new owner. And that new owner may have an opportunity to add life on a Cincinnati street that has seen substantial changes since the 1800s. Jerry Carroll, a Northern Kentucky-based real estate developer and developer of the Kentucky Speedway, has a contract to buy three buildings at 8-18 W. Fourth St. from Greater Cincinnati businessman Les Sandler. The due diligence period may not be complete until October and from there, Sandler said, it will be up to the buyer to determine how to move forward. The contract price was not disclosed. The asking price of the buildings was $3 million. Cont- Cincinnati: Evolution and Changing Perceptions of Urban Neighborhoods

CVG adds a 'substantial' new tenant Tristan Navera - Staff Reporter Dayton Business Journal PSA Airlines Inc. is planning a "substantial" new maintenance base at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The Dayton-based airline announced Tuesday it has acquired space at CVG to convert it into a maintenance facility for its aircraft. It will be opened as a PSA maintenance base later this year. The number of new jobs expected and the investment for the facility were not disclosed. “Having our own maintenance base at CVG will significantly enhance our ability to more efficiently support the maintenance requirements for the rapidly growing fleet of large RJ aircraft,” said Kevin Reinhalter, vice president of maintenance and engineering for PSA. "“It has been the intention and desire to carry out this work with our own staff of professionals." Cont- Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Drone hits Great American Tower, breaks glass A drone flying through downtown Cincinnati struck the north side of Great American Tower on Tuesday afternoon and broke glass that fell on top of the building's garage. The drone struck a glass pane between the 28th and 29th floors sometime between noon and 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to José Marques, a spokesperson for Western & Southern Financial Group and Great American Tower. Marques said some glass fell from the pane that shattered, but no one was injured. Drone hits Great American Tower, breaks glass- Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center

As with Ferguson, Baltimore, etc., the group "Anonymous" was quite active last night on Twitter during Cincinnati's Black Lives Matter march. Appears they got into a war of words with a CPD officer known for tweeting. So much so he deleted his account (or they they hacked it and deleted it). They've also published address & phone number allegedly belonging to him.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center

OTR distillery, event space will bring vision to life “Remember what you think when you first see this,” Michele Hobbs said, pausing, hand on a doorknob, an I-have-an-awesome-secret smile on her lips. Opening the door at the back of the 1939 Over-the-Rhine Tudor house that is the headquarters for her Pet Wants business, she gets the wide-eyed reaction she has come to expect. Calling the space a warehouse – which it is – is like calling a classic Mustang a car: It’s accurate, but boy, does it undersell what you’re about to see. The building dates to 1899, with high ceilings and original wood. It’s large, big enough to accommodate about 400 people, Hobbs figures. As soon as she saw it, she had a vision of what it could be: A band playing. Food trucks. People milling between indoor and outdoor spaces. A glass awning to protect the outdoor space from the ever-changing Cincinnati weather. A big screen showing everything from major sporting events to election night results. A shiny 250-gallon pot still, surrounded by glass, visible from indoors or out. People coming from the last streetcar stop, in front of Rhinegeist two and a half blocks away. More people coming from Central Parkway, using the Central Parkway Protected Bike Lanes, stowing their cycles on an art sculpture/bike rack out front. Cont- Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center

I convinced a group of 8 suburban (Cincinnati & Denver) friends to walk from Taft's to Rhinegeist last Thursday at 8:30 PM. Hotel project stalled on Purple People Bridge There’s nowhere to park on a pedestrian bridge. That detail will likely keep any hotel or shop from opening on the Purple People Bridge, the bridge’s owners told The Enquirer. The development agreement to build a $100 million railroad-themed hotel and restaurant complex on the bridge – an agreement between the bridge’s owner, the Newport Southbank Bridge Co., and developer, DW Real Estate Holdings – lapsed in June, said Wally Pagan, president of the Newport Southbank Bridge Co. Pagan wouldn’t declare the project dead, but said it’s not likely to be resurrected. Instead the bridge company is looking to other sources of income to keep the bridge in good shape. url=http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2015/07/29/hotel-project-stalled-purple-people-bridge/30792841/]Cont[/url]- Cincinnati Reds Discussion

I've seen chatter around Byrd. Time will tell... He has been pretty hot since his injury. The Reds got cash to take on his $8 million salary this year with an $8 million vesting option for 2016 that becomes guaranteed with 600 plate appearances in 2015.- Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
Frontier cuts CVG flights Frontier Airlines is reducing its service at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, the Enquirer reports. Frontier will discontinue its daily nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale and halve its service to Las Vegas in October. Daily nonstop flights to Atlanta are also scheduled to end on Oct. 24 but could return in 2016 as seasonal service. The changes represent the biggest reduction in low-cost service since discount carriers returned to CVG in 2013. While they don’t necessarily mean Frontier is failing or downsizing permanently at CVG, the change could mark the end of the company’s growth at the airport Cont- Cincinnati Reds Discussion
