Dem candidate used to hunt for UFOs, ghost Now that Sean Feeney is definitely, for sure, the Democratic candidate against Hamilton County Commissioner Chris Monzel, we should get to know him a little bit. As his Twitter handle, @SeanFromIT, suggests, he works in IT. He lives in North College Hill. He intends to run on a platform of good governance. And, he is a former paranormal investigator. Since I'm your political columnist, paid to ask the hard questions, yes, I asked: Do you believe in UFOs and ghosts? Cont- Cincinnati: Downtown: Terrace Plaza Hotel

It'll be interesting to see how evening rush hour traffic is handled at the Fourth & Walnut intersection with Renaissance valet taking up a lane. Yesterday afternoon there were probably 10 cars unloading. The valet drivers can be seen running down Fourth St. from the Pogue garage. Figure this will switch to Mabley Place garage once it's complete. Still, that's a lot of ground to cover and the hotel isn't completely finished.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Encore

Per the Enquirer's Criticism grows over Union Terminal levy: The commissioners fired back by warning their critics to get behind the levy for Union Terminal or risk missing out on $170 million in taxpayer support for that building's renovation. "I understand they're criticizing us for not rubber-stamping their proposal, but that would not have been responsible for county taxpayers," said Commissioner Greg Hartmann, who voted for the Union Terminal plan with fellow Republican Chris Monzel. "I'd suggest for them to let the emotion come out of this a little if they want to pass this ballot initiative," Hartmann told the Enquirer. "I'd recommend a different approach." Giant robot returns to downtown Cincinnati Erin Caproni - Digital Producer - Cincinnati Business Courier A familiar face is returning to downtown Cincinnati in a new location. Metrobot, a 27-foot tall robot sculpture, will be reintroduced to the Queen City at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 10.The structure will be located outside the Contemporary Arts Center on Walnut and Sixth streets. Albert Vontz Jr., owner of Heidelberg Distributors Co., gave Metrobot to the city as a gift for its bicentennial and the CAC’s 50th anniversary in 1988. His son Al Vontz III and the Ralph V. Haile Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation have provided funding to restore Metrobot and return it to the CAC. The sculpture was de-installed in 2009 and put into storage until CAC found a permanent home. Reds pay homage to past with 2015 All-Star logo CINCINNATI -- Traditionally, Major League Baseball's All-Star festivities do not just celebrate the stars of today's game. They also present a perfect time to shine the spotlight back on the legends and characters from yesteryear, especially those who once played for the host team. Assuming that will be the case next year, baseball fans are in for some fun. The Reds, baseball's oldest franchise, have housed some of the most decorated players in the game's history. Every decade sprouted stars remembered fondly to this day; some for their career-long heroics, others for isolated moments that added to the franchise's long-standing winning tradition. The Reds' rich history is one of their most endearing qualities, and it has been captured classically and tastefully on the 2015 All-Star logo, revealed Wednesday morning at Great American Ball Park, where the game will be played on July 14.
