Enquirer catches up: Dunnhumby growth puts dent in Downtown residence plans No apartments at Fifth & Race, but another developer might build them a block away Consumer research company dunnhumbyUSA has outgrown its planned Downtown headquarters before construction has even started, causing developers of the proposed tower at Fifth and Race to scrap plans for 200 apartments there. “The residential piece of the development is out,” dunnhumby spokeswoman Ann Keeling said Monday. “After considerable due diligence, it was determined that the space needed by dunnhumby’s new HQ would need to increase, making the residential aspect no longer feasible.” The high-profile space at Fifth and Race, long a surface parking lot, will still include 35,000 square feet of commercial space and a 1,000-space garage in addition to 280,000 square feet of office space, she said. 9. Having worked in this building, I always though it had potential to be re-purposed for residential. The top floor is two stories and has great views of OTR.
  10. Not sure if its due to it being Veteran's Day, but Big Easy Cajun and Slammin Burger in Tower Place Food Court are closed. I've not seen any news on it. Will check again tomorrow. It does look like Great Steak & Potato might be on the way out... Cassidy Turley sues to evict restaurant from Tower Place Mall Business Courier by Jon Newberry As sparse as customer traffic has been at Tower Place Mall in downtown Cincinnati, it could get sparser. Cassidy Turley, the court-appointed receiver for the largely vacant Fourth Street shopping venue, is suing to evict a Hamilton-based franchisee of Great Steak & Potato Co. for alleged failure to pay its rent. The restaurant has occupied space in the mall’s food court since 1992. Cont

  13. Yes, next year's election will be huge in Cincinnati politics and ultimately for the streetcar. The Mayor's seat and all nine City Council seats will be on the line for four-year terms. We already have support at a federal level with Obama and Brown's reelection. Next would be removing Kasich in the 2014 election.
  14. What OS? Haven't seen the issue in 16.0.2 running on XP.

  18. $450,000 donation from Duke Energy to advance construction at Smale Riverfront Park By Randy Simes ― October 30, 2012 Thanks to a $450,000 donation from Duke Energy, the Cincinnati Park Board will be able to move forward more quickly with the development of what was previously called the Main Street Garden at the Smale Riverfront Park. The area is located immediately south of Great American Ball Park, and is now called the Duke Energy Garden. The narrow piece of park space is expected to be completed by spring 2013, and will connect the Smale Riverfront Park with additional riverfront parkland to the east (Sawyer Point, Bicentennial Commons, Theordore M. Berry International Friendship Park). According to Cincinnati Park Board officials, this connection will be further established with the completion of the Ohio River Trail to Paddlewheel Park in fall 2013. Cont The Business Courier also picked it up.

Understand OTR, my post was purely based on secondhand information. Its source though is associated to city officials. My post clarified it was a "rumor". You on the other hand claim to have the facts. Please then, provide full documentation backing up your claim. Otherwise, like the rest of us, you are only speculating...
