I've seen moving trucks there almost daily the past 2 weeks. Walking by today at lunch there were people going in and out of the leasing office. It looks as if the next tenant opening it's doors will be the Cincinnati Police.

Cincinnati: Complete Streets, Road Diets, and Traffic Calming
Last September, the city was looking for location recommendations on additional downtown two-wheeler parking. I emailed mine to [email protected] and sent a follow-up earlier this week, but no response. Anything in the rumor mills? I'd really like to see a couple spots south of 5th street...

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
This week's Cincinnati Enquirer anti-Streetcar story comes hidden in the article on Tim Mara: Mara built career taking on big boys Barry "Speedy" Hortsman writes: Over the past year, Mara has assumed higher visibility on perhaps the most volatile issue in local politics - the $95 million-plus Cincinnati streetcar plan. He started by questioning the propriety of City Councilman Chris Bortz's participation in streetcar decisions given his family's property holdings along and near the proposed route. "Initially, I didn't have a strong opinion one way or another on the streetcar," Mara said. "I was more concerned about the integrity of the process than the outcome." cont (last few paragraphs)

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Streetcar meeting shows debate far from settled Only days after Mayor Mark Mallory said Cincinnati's revised streetcar plan would require no further City Council action, the passionate comments and emotions in a packed council chamber Wednesday night made it clear that City Hall is far from seeing the last of the contentious issue. For nearly 2½ hours, an audience of more than 100 - overwhelmingly tilted toward streetcar supporters - largely heard familiar arguments rehashed, with backers characterizing the project as a vital economic catalyst while opponents dismissed it as a risky, ill-timed project. cont

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
GOP council members want streetcar meeting Looking for a new opportunity to press their opposition to the Cincinnati streetcar, Republican City Council members have scheduled a special Wednesday night council meeting to grill city administrators about the project. Three council members - Charlie Winburn, Wayne Lippert and Amy Murray - requested the special 6 p.m. meeting in council chambers, and Winburn said late Monday he hoped that fellow Republican Leslie Ghiz also would sign the request. Under council rules, a request by two members is sufficient to call a special meeting. cont
