Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I was wondering that as well... They are moving along quite nicely without one though. In fact, where they have poured the ground floor concrete, they are starting to assemble scaffolding for the next garage level.

Link above is (somewhat) broken. This link will take you to the article. And ugh... "Cincinnati City Manager Milton Dohoney said in late August that the city has made aggressive incentive offers to FTPS, but he also indicated that a lack of available downtown parking could be a problem." How about the traffic nightmare at 71/Fields Ertle/Mason-Montgomery?!?

They're constructing a crawler crane on the corner of Walnut St. & Berry Way. Not sure if this is for the Walnut St. Fountain construction or for drilling piles on the eastern half of the Freedom Center lawn. Guessing the later as I can't see this type of crane needed to construct stairs/fountains.

Cygnus replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentTopper's Pizza to open in Clifton ...selling pizza, subs, quesadillas and more, mostly to college students. That’s their market, rather than the families that most national pizza chains are going for. They do a lot of delivery, on college student hours, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 a.m. every day. There are also seats and carry-out, but it’s not meant to be mostly dine-in. They don’t sell beer.

New name for The Banks apartments via Cincinnati.com Current @ The Banks is the new name for the first apartment community under construction now at The Banks riverfront development downtown. Developers Atlanta-based Carter and The Dawson Co. said in a release Thursday that they picked the name because it shows “appreciation for the Ohio River” and is ”in keeping with what will be a hip, yet sophisticated place in which to live.” - Riverfront apartments get new name: Current @ The Banks via Business Courier of Cincinnati The riverfront apartments being built as part of the first phase of The Banks riverfront development have a new name: Current @ The Banks. These names irk me as well. I also believe it creates confusion for visitors. In the downtown area alone we have multiple honorary names that really should just be secondary street names. The two block stretch of Vine St. that is now Rosa Parks Drive Main St / Joe Nuxhall Way 1st Street(?) / Freedom Way I'm even for making both Pete Rose Way and Merhing Way secondary names and having Riverside drive continue on from the East End, through The Banks, and over to the West side. Call me crazy...

A lot of steel went up yesterday on the NE corner of Freedom Way & Walnut. This little sliver had been used for staging. Anyone know why this building is separate from the apartments/retail? Also, more bricks up...

All the floor plans I have seen include laundry areas... But I believe they are talking about a drop off/pick-up dry cleaner, not a self-serve laundry mat. This would not only cater to residents but business workers who park in the garages.
