  1. Yes, since June 1st.
  2. NP, I usually walk the site at lunch. Pic is from right outside the GABP Team Shop.
  3. Agree 100% on the light rail. With the size of the RTC, I would think they could co-exist... As for relocating it to UT, I guess I'm not sold on people taking Greyhound only to catch a 3C/Amtrak train elsewhere. With the RTC though, I see access to long term parking, Streetcar, Light Rail (eventually), hotels, Government Square. Same with Megabus.
  4. Actually DS, I was in fact commenting that you were, and continue to be, incorrect. Not that any of this really maters or is worth all these multiple postings... There are still three more arches to be installed. Two of which are the same height with the other being the center arch. You can clearly see this from either the west or east side of the building.
  5. I mentioned it here: Cincinnati: Pendleton: Broadway Commons I'm assuming by space your referring to space for offices, ticketing, waiting area, etc. as there are plenty of bus bays. Living close to the Greyhound station, I've never seen more than 6 buses there at once, one of those being a parked Mega Bus. My idea was using a portion of The Banks garage build out for the offices, ticketing, waiting area, etc. See for reference the RTC Security and CRG Parking Office. I'm not a planner... just throwing out ideas. Yes, it probably would be the nicest Greyhound station in the country. But hey, Cincinnati is the US headquarters for it's parent company.
  6.
  7. ^ Then I believe it's "two more levels in the tiara"...
  8. The wall is not in pieces. Not sure what the crumbled walkway represents... Will found out soon though. Freedom Center Installs Piece Of Berlin Wall CINCINNATI -- A local museum now has a piece of an infamous barrier as its newest exhibit. A panel of the Berlin Wall was installed at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on Wednesday morning.
  9. Three more arches to go
  10. Three more pieces arrived
  11. Appears that way. Was there today and most of the landscaping is done. It appears some of the rocks have something inscribed on them (as does the area by the cones in my pic above).
  12. I saw a lady walking in today carrying one of those over-sized checks. It looked like it was for $10k. Not sure who it was from though.
  13. Block 2 is being prepped for garage construction.
  14. Park steps at Merhing/Joe Nuxhall Way were poured today.
  15. Installation has begun... It looks as if our piece of the Berlin Wall is actually "pieces". :?
  16. T-shirt vendor shot to death in Over-the-Rhine By Jennifer Baker • [email protected] • June 16, 2010 OVER-THE-RHINE - A Cleveland T-shirt vendor who traveled to Cincinnati and sold shirts outside the Reds game Tuesday night was killed in a “senseless shooting,” police said. Duane M. Hamilton, 32, was shot several times in the torso about 10:19 p.m. outside the Vine Street Market, 1719 Vine St., said Sgt. Gary Conner of the Cincinnati Homicide Unit. “It’s a senseless shooting,” Conner said. “It makes no sense whatsoever. There is no robbery motive, nothing we see.”
  17. Building a Casino :-D
  18. "Solitary! A month!"
  19. Love the work. Why Third and Vine though? I don't see AFG giving up that block.
  20. Will The Banks 'Falter'? Ohio Supreme Court backs firing riverfront lawyers - Reds owner Bob Castellini says 'Banks will falter,' blames politics Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters won a two-year legal fight with the county commission over that board's use of an outside law firm for riverfront development issues. The county has paid Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease about $17 million over the last decade, angering Deters and judges. That set in motion a legal battle that pitted commissioners against Deters and the judges, and resulted in Wednesday's Ohio Supreme Court decision in which the court said because judges signed off on the hiring of the outside law firm in 2002 they had the right to fire them. cont.
  21. It ends at the (now closed) Central Riverfront Garage entrance at the Freedom Center.
  22. You are correct that on most evenings and weekends there is very little truck traffic. But during the weekday, there definitely is a lot of truck traffic. And no, a majority of it is not Banks/Park related.
