Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Actually, they are lowering the road quite a bit at the bridge. Where you were standing they now have temporary steel beams supporting the load as they have dug about 4-5 feet down around the permanent supports. I'll try to get a better pic location at lunch. Pic taken Monday

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Perfect analogy in my book. ;-) Last nights 6PM newscast on WCPO had anchor Julie O'Neill reading a retraction regarding their Streetcar where they said Towne Properties was the builder.

^^ Thanks for the link NBow! Been meaning to listen to this. Love that I had to listen to Car Dealership Ad before hearing the podcast. ;-)

Cincinnati: Bars / Nightlife News
While Hofbrahaus has great beer, it's far from a great bar. But in the latest tournament round, it's beating Neon's by 95 votes. Get out there and vote every two hours! http://thecincinnatiman.com/2nd-annual-best-bar-in-cincinnati-tournament-round-2-part-2/ And the XU bar Dana's beating City View Tavern is a big ol WTF?! ;-)

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
When Not-News Goes Bad: The Enquirer's Dumb Streetcar Poll Judging by the sheer number of responses in the Cinblogosphere yesterday, the chances are pretty good you’ve already seen this. If you know TCM, however, you know that we can’t resist a bit of commentary on the matter. First things first: yesterday’s Enquirer paid to have a poll done, and then said that this poll means something. It doesn’t mean much of anything, truth told. cont.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
I believe it looks half assed too but not much can be done now if there aren't pilings in those areas.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
The undergrounds will be. You should be able to enter from Pete Rose Way East and exit on Pete Rose Way West, etc. Or at least that's what I've seen.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
A couple weeks ago they laid asphalt that connects the south side of the garage to Merhing Way. Now there are two attendant booths at this temporary entrance. I am assuming they'll open this once they close the Lot C/Freedom Center garage entrance when the June 1st construction begins.

Run My Life! (Cincinnati Telecommunication Version)
I don't think I've had one dropped call while downtown. There are data issues though. Slowness from mid-morning through late afternoon. Occasionally during that time frame the connection will timeout. The Starbucks WiFi comes in handy at times. Also, there is an AT&T app that allows you to identify where you have a dropped call, no connectivity, etc.

Ugh... lease space to them in the Transit Center.

Run My Life! (Cincinnati Telecommunication Version)
My parents in the Dayton area have CinBell for home phone, mobile (500m, unlimited txt), and Zoomtown for about 89 bucks a month (after taxes). I myself gave up on CinBell mobile (after 10 years) for an iPhone on AT&T. But I still use them for FiOptics TV and Internet. If FiOptics is in your area, TW really can't compete with it...

Know if this western portion includes the completion of Freedom Way? :edit: Just saw the article County to award biggest Banks contract, and it does include the completion of Freedom Way.

What an absolute failure of a project. A boondoggle if you will. Time for The Container Store and Crate & Barrel to sign on as the first Banks tenants!

Columbus: Hollywood Casino
Competition for the Columbus casino? I highly doubt it... Ohioans push plan for Indian casino A pair of Ohio investors has quietly joined forces with an Oklahoma-based American Indian tribe in hopes of opening a Delaware County casino that would be Ohio's first. A Cincinnati-area landfill manager and a retired financial consultant have pitched to the Delaware Tribe of Indians the idea of building a casino near the junction of I-71 and Rts. 36/37 before voter-approved casinos open in Columbus and three other citie

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Listening to this podcast, I really wish someone would call out Tom Luken on these statements about Parsons Brinckerhoff: "I looked that up the other day. And it's secret, but it's true. It's documented. But they're not going to tell you that." ... "Parsons Brinckerhoff has the contract. They got the contract." ... "Did you hear me?" ... "They got the contract. I've seen that in print. They got the contract." If this is secret, how did he see it "in print"? And if it's "in print", why can't he produce the contract to back up his statements?
