Chicago
You are correct....just a rather smallish looking hole in the ground (for such a tall building). The project is completely stalled right now.

Anyone experiencing overcrowded mass transit?
^Sounds like the same set up, still a few near the front. That bus style I showed also has one weird seat right behind the driver....then the wheel well....then a few seats against the wall. There is not much to hold onto, however they added straps to aid that problem even though cta has never been a "straphanger" friendly system....usually just bars

Anyone experiencing overcrowded mass transit?
Every freakin day! The new solution at cta is to remove seats from train cars and buses to pack more people on. It makes sense since they can't add capacity any other way. It's still kinda weird getting on a bus with most of the seats gone. I'm not sure who makes this model.....but they did it to the model of bus pictured below, which I think Cleveland has in it's fleet too. These buses never worked well from a seating standpoint...it was a really messy arrangement. Anyway, the lower floors of these buses have no seats now. Any other transit agency doing anything different like this??

Akron-Canton Regional Airport
NYC is served by 3 airports, two of which are served by rail, one of which is not. You PREFER the one that is not, which completely negates the statement above. Your ersatz logic only applies within the borders of Ohio apparently. Maybe you should have just answered "I prefer whatever airport is most convenient to my house" Instead, a condescending negative comment must be made on every post. We get it, you have an axe to grind about CAK stealing business from CLE, and you take it out by belittling it every chance you get on this thread. If CAK is so off your radar, why are you even reading and participating in this thread?

Akron-Canton Regional Airport
Please, any Clevelander would pimp themselves out to CAK if they found a cheaper fare, they just don't want to admit it :-D. I seem to recall a certain U4IA getting closed down, and suddenly all the Cleveland queens were flocking to Interbelt...sound familiar? Seriously though, the downtowns are 40 minutes apart, it's funny how provincial they evolved from one another. For me in Chicago, ORD = CLE and MDW = CAK. They are about the same distance apart.

Akron-Canton Regional Airport
Just like Cleveland serves Erie PA, and probably Toledo at this point. I knew a friend that drove from Ann Arbor to CLE for a flight because it was hundreds of dollars cheaper than Detroit. It's all good, and impressive that Northeast Ohio has 2 healthy airports, that's a big league metro area in my book. Most Clevelanders though, think there is nothing south of I480 from my experience at CSU.

Logan Square
Such a great neighborhood, I used to take the train out toward O'Hare in the late 90's from the Logan station. The odd thing was there was a really old Gap store mixed in with all the dollar stores on the corner of Milwaukee and Diversey that still was called "Super Gap" from the 80's. I think they finally updated the signage and now it's a Gap Outlet.

Akron-Canton Regional Airport
^ Very true, if you map it, CAK is closer to Marrietta OH (114 miles) than CMH(123 miles). I don't think people realize the geographic area it draws from. For anyone living along the entire I77 corridor of OH and into W VA and western PA it is a convenient airport. I'd suspect the growth at CAK has more to do with stealing customers from YNG(which barely operates anymore) and PIT(which is expensive since US Air closed the hub) than from CLE. I once had a flight into CAK from ORD that got rerouted to CLE for weather. There were a lot of people from PA, Youngstown and points east and south that were pissed.

Akron-Canton Regional Airport
^ It says business class fare structure, not discount...how is that bad reporting? Most people with common sense would know that it's not going to be a business class style seat on a 50 seat regional jet for a 45 minute flight. At any rate, it's not going to start a fare war with a business class "FARE" structure.

DJ Musky's Throwback Mix
Talk about a Lift!! I can still see Angela sitting up in the booth. When I watched Stigmata, I could see the screen rolling down like it was yesterday. What about Dean and the Weenies?? Thanks for bringing back great memories! My best memories are hanging out in the VIP area with Thrill Kill Kult after their show... and another time seeing 2 girls and a guy that stood out dancing on the dance floor and later found out it was Book of Love hanging out after a show at the Phantasy.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I was checking the career section of the Merchandise Mart, and in the pull down list of their properties to search for jobs, it lists the "Cleveland Medical Mart". http://www.merchandisemart.com/mmart/about/careers.cfm

Why doesn't downtown Cleveland have....
You forgot Nordstrom :-o. Carson Pirie is a glorified JC Penney, and through ownership changes, that beautiful downtown store was a dump inside quite honestly, the owners didn't take care of it. Lord & Taylor also closed at Water Tower but are still in the burbs, which is too bad because the new owners seem to be trying to bring it back to it's former glory. It's now that awful Amercian Girl Doll store. I thought there was a Forever 21 in TC?? They have cheap crap, including men's clothes. There used to be a men's store in the hyatt arcade that had basics...did it close?

Cleveland: Retail News
I agree, Sears over Wal-Mart any day. They seem like a much more reputable company..they sell quality appliances and tools in a more civilized atmosphere, not just wharehoused junk. That is the mainline stores though...and the flagship on State St. Not sure about these outlets, since I haven't been to one. I want that free washing machine deal.

times square: new broadway theater tkts booth steps
Design doesn't neccessarily need a point...that's why it exists. It is a great idea...a ticket broker housed in a building designed to look like a venue for a show....which I am sure it will become for street performers. The residents of the city get some public space to rest, and the business becomes an new instant icon on Times Square giving them all the free publicity they can stand. The only negative I can think of is the liability of someone falling off of it....oh yeah, and gum.

Cleveland: 2014 Gay Games IX News & Discussion
The bigots will come out of the woodwork, especially if this progresses to the point of actually landing the games. A mayor in a suburb of Chicago (Lake Zurich I believe) did not want them to use a proposed lake in his suburb for the games, and the American Family Assoc. (or whatever it is) had a boycott of Kraft for sponsoring them. I'm sure we'll be hearing from that idiot fringe group (CCV) in Cincinnati on this. In the end the lake was used and Kraft did not waiver and did not suffer from the boycott. Hopefully it will not deter the process in Cleveland when these groups start to make noise.

Well, I Like The Loop, and CTA! So, There!
The views were great, but the windows were super dirty and all I had was my camera phone :-(. About half of the windows were in and the others had plastic covering them.
