If you do not mind me asking, what price range?

Prospect Hill, Mulberry, Dorsey, Conroy, Mt. Adams or Northern Ky.
  3. This is absolutely true. And many of the jobs such as P&G are located out there as well when they have traditionally been closer to the core. They now have the infrastructure as Thomasbw mentioned, the jobs, the restaurants, the shopping, the schools. Now contrast that with the inner ring.
  4. you can post anything, anywhere as far as I am concerned, that wasn't what I was getting at. Perhaps it is unfair or misrepresentative, but I would like to separate "Cincinnati" from the word "riot" anytime I can. I am much more liberal when it comes to development. To me, this is common sense, to you perhaps it is convenient, but to the media it is an opportunity. Exactly.
  5. There is no doubt that this is happening. We will never be able eliminate crime, we will simply eliminate where crime occurs by not tolerating it. Agreed, and anyone who has lived anywhere close to downtown over the past few years can tell the difference on the streets. We still have a long ways to go but the combination of increased enforcement and development, this is the best opportunity that OTR has ever had.
  6. Wait a tic. The inverse is also true. Maximilian jumps on me all the time when I refer to places like OTR as downtown for the purposes of development. No one wants to take credit for crime that happens outside of our borders otherwise start including stats from Amberly, Mason etc to offset some of the negatives. Built form? should we start including Covington, Newport etc? When did we start using this as a definition of what is and is not in a cities limits? You do understand the difference in a restaurant or business opening/closing and what has been described as a 'riot' with gunfire? This is less a matter of convenience and more one of common sense. Has anyone noticed the lack of crime in OTR? There was a time, not so long ago, that I did not turn on the radio in the morning and hear "man shot on Republic" or any other street OTR. 37% down, and still falling, this is the real story. Dist 1, Sherriffs, Vortex, Citizens on Patrol, and CPOP have all done a tremendous job in turning the situation in OTR around, they have done a wonderful job and even more is coming.
  7. we need this and a Vespa dealership in OTR although I would like Main to be considered as well (I am a slave to my own agenda). You have my vote, there is just no good reason I should have to buy such urban vehicles in Blue Ash. using that same logic, why say quarter, why not just gateway, or for time sake, just ga.
  8. Its a deal, see you there. I will insist I am not an egg thrower, but a purveyor of urban justice.
  9. I am a busy man, I will jump straight to phase 3
  10. I am going to have to have a conversation with this idiot next time I go up the hill. I do know that an invitation has been made to her to move to Main (I believe unofficially), she so far has declined. This is a real big problem for Mt. Auburn. It is going to be an even bigger problem if and when Inwood Village gets off the ground and potential purchasers drive past this to turn down Glencoe. I never thought we would see the day when it was better to have driving directions taking a person through OTR first. I do not mean to offend anyone on here, just this guy by saying the church should be protested for the abuses they have been responsible for as well.
  11. Perhaps you are correct. I took that action to mean that outlot development would probably occur where the surface lots now lie especially with the proposed expansion. But I could be wrong.
  12. K. Hovnanian has some that I looked at a year or so ago. There are plenty of lots around here, (I need a house next to me to help hold mine up) Other than that, I would probably recommend going to an architect, we have some great one's down here.
  13. jmecklenborg, I hear what you are saying here but could you help me understand it. Are you saying this Is better than this? I am as much for preservation as the next guy but not at the expense of progress. "The new levee development could pump $16 million to $100 million dollars in new investment in this area, along with as many as 1,200 new jobs."
  14. Right, what I said, CRAP.
  15. Left wing, right wing, sometimes crap is just crap.
  16. well at least there is always DERF.
  17. All I can say about City Beat is that when a charity home tour was put on "Mulberry Hill Tour for Life" to help raise money for organ donor transplant awareness, City Beat called us up for ad dollars and turned around the week of the tour and stated, "Come to the Mulberry Hill Tour for Life as rich people open there doors to the less fortunate, see how the other half lives" They were talking about OTR and MT Auburn. I am not a big fan. Quick side note for those of you keeping score, OTR crime down 37% in January, Feb numbers not out yet but it should be even greater.
  18. Wait a tick.... "Washington Park and Rothenberg students may attend Rothenberg, which is in the old Vine Elementary building while a new Rothenberg is being built." That would mean consolidating 3 schools into what is a very small space to begin with. Vine St Elem., Wash Park Elem., and Rothenberg all into 60,000 sq ft? HUH! have at it.
  19. Doug Spitz has equipment in place to begin the teardown of 316?, it will probably begin today (the blue house on the north east side of Mulberry).
  20. From the sounds of it, this isn't happening on Main, but does anyone know anything about this? Park + Vine is a green general store that provides the people of Cincinnati with a compelling shopping solution to the uninspired nature of national chain stores in the city’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. 22. This was Vernon's joke, not mine, I am just passing it along. From what I understand, he is turning it into his own art gallery.
  23. 5 buildings and he just purchased Don's crankshaft (Vernon promised us he wasn't turning that into a gay night club) He has his first tenant, and it is scheduled to be completed in June, including the streetscape in front of Rothenberg.
  24. boy howdie, but I only pass along the information that I hear. But do we dismiss what Tarbell says about this and take what he says about the streetcar to the bank? Either we have to be scheptical across the board or rely on any information about such plans with cautious optimism-I prefer the latter. I hope like hell this thing goes through, all of it. OTR is on the verge of turning the corner and this project is critical link in seeing that it happens.
