Ohio needs more investment in big cities, urban advocates say by Tom Breckenridge/Plain Dealer Reporter Monday June 08, 2009, 5:41 PM CLEVELAND -- Ohio's economy will recover faster with more investment in its big cities, urban proponents say. That's why the state is squandering opportunity by failing to focus federal stimulus money for roads and neighborhoods in its metropolitan cores, they say. Several hundred advocates pushing for pro-urban policy reforms in Columbus and in Washington, D.C., gathered Monday at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center. Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
I just read that in the PD. I love East 4th. It could spur a lot of development in the surrounding areas, ie warehouse district, but people have to feel that its safe. Maybe get a 2 cop foot patrol, 24/7 throughout the area. Be proactive instead of reactive.
