Since I've been on this forum I don't recall seeing any plans for a downtown light-rail or streetcar loop. Has anything of that nature been seriously discussed recently?

Sherwin-Williams bringing 110 new jobs to Cleveland Chalk up a few more jobs in downtown Cleveland to Sherwin Williams Co. (NYSE: SHW), which is adding to its roles here with a little incentive from the state of Ohio. The Ohio Department of Development announced it has approved a $1.7 million job-creation tax credit for Sherwin-Williams in exchange for the company bringing 110 new jobs to the city. The jobs will come from the coatings company's business support units at its various foreign subsidiaries, which are being consolidated at Sherwin-Williams' headquarters in Cleveland. I apologize in advance, I wasn't sure where best to put this question, Can someone please tell me what's going on at the Renaissance Hotel? For the entirety of the year and a half I have lived in Downtown Cleveland the public-square facing side of that hotel has been covered by scaffolding and a lift, but with no apparent work being done.

Zimzolla, can you expand on the 5 year residential freeze? I was certainly unaware of this.

If you guys think Gilbert would pay $85 million dollars for the land behind Tower City and NOT build on it your crazy. The (2nd) permanent casino is coming although it will probably take longer than most of us would like.

The website for Avenue District says there are no lofts or penthouses available at this time. Are those sold as well?

^ I can't imagine Voinivich would be any more or less engaging to a 2 year old then the Metro Parks, its more about how you interact with them while your there. The library downtown is beautiful and I would be willing to bet they have story-time and such for a youngster. Now, as far as playgrounds go you've got me there, that would a be a nice thing to see downtown.

Take him down to Voinivich Park, walk around the pier, play in the lawn, go the Science Center... What do you do with a 2 year old in other cities?

I feel like the warehouse district is moving in the wrong direction. Crop, Metro and Phoenix.... all out. What the heck is going on???

^ I spoke with the owner of Melt (Matt Fish is it?) at Johnny Mangos, he said that they are actively looking to open a space in Cleveland proper, just haven't found the perfect fit yet.
