  1. City Council To Discuss Revised Streetcar Plan :x Last Update: 2:04 pm Cincinnati city leaders are weighing a new proposal to bring streetcars Downtown. The revised plan includes a line from Downtown to Uptown, near UC's campus, instead of a loop through Over-the-Rhine. Officials said the project would cost an estimated $100 million. The Finance Committee will discuss the new proposal on Monday. Earlier this month, Mayor Mark Mallory called the streetcar plan a priority
  2. I agree J skinner, that Findlay Market is critical. I like to go to the market 2-3 times a week. Saturdays, parking can be a hassle. For suburbanites they may leave if there is no nearby parking. ( I know people that won't get out of their car if they can't get in the main lot). A suburbanite could now park in a surface lot downtown and ride to the Market. This could ease the parking issue there. Send the streetcar from Race/Mcmicken down Mcmicken to liberty and up liberty hill. All of us eastsiders would be very happy
  3. OTR is well suited for the streetcar since it is a very dense neighborhood that does not need anymore surface parking lots.
  4. I had planned to invest in the brewery district a few years ago, then Citylink was dreamed up and I gave up. Then the streetcar thru OTR was planned, I became positive once again and after talking to a building inspector and real estate agent a month ago, I found a building that I want to invest in near Findlay Market. This is BS.
  5. Take it up Liberty Hill that way it goes past my house. :-D Actually, I would be against any change to phase 1.
  6. HOORAY!! That place sucked so badly. The stoner (food preparer) was coughing so badly he couldn't even speak when customers were ordering. The place was also full of loud, rowdy teenagers.
  7. Don't even put Cincinnati/Dayton in the same sentence.

  10. In my opinion the ikea kitchen would be better off in a old warehouse renovation with concrete floors. A house like that one in Hyde Park takes you back to a different time. It is warm and inviting and I would be willing to pay more for something like that.

In a US city If you absolutley must have a car and you don't have a family, the smart car is perfect. If you have a family with 1 kid Honda Fit is great since it has 4 doors can load a ton of crap in it. It's also easy on gas and a breeze to park.
  12. The Sam Adams Brewery in the West End should spruce up their property and give tours of the facility . A Hudepohl/Schoeling museum would be nice too. I would support Sam Adams more if they do these sorts of things.

  21. Looks good! It's really amazing they have gotten all the way up to 14th. Now, CPS needs to sell all the Mercer property. Where on Main?
  22. In North Avondale you can get a 12 bedroom mansion for under 500 G's. The Rose Hill area is nice.
  23. Cool! free money? I guess I'll have extra spending $ for my trip while I'm in China.
