  1. Prospect Hill is more affordable than Mt Adams and has many nice single family homes in the 400K and up range. There are many young children and the neighborhood is very active. http://www.prospecthillcincinnati.org/?q=node/11

Goat Hill is the Eastern Boundary of Prospect Hill. The name is perfect since it is very steep in places. I have been cleaning up that hillside for 4 years and have seen some interesting things. Everything from a Peregrine Falcon and 8 point Buck to an Abandoned car halfway down. To best see Goat Hill, park at Staples on Reading rd, cross the street and go to the right hand side of High ST Store. Go up the Highland Ave steps and enjoy one of the deer trails to the right. There is a tiny blurb about it on our neighborhood website. http://www.prospecthillcincinnati.org/?q=node/11
  3. Don't like the corner feature much but it is 10 times nicer than what was there before. Also it makes a nice lookout tower for the residents to see drug deals going down closer to Krogers and they can call the cops and clear the thugs off that street.
  4. Great news Mcmicken! Thanks for the update

  6. Gotcha. FYI. Hippies were a big part of inner city rehabs that occured in Clifton, Mt Adams, and Prospect Hill in the 60's and 70's these areas might not be where they are today if not for these original urban pioneers, some of who are still living here.
  7. Would hippies protest the streetcar? Stop the degrading remarks towards hippies. I know many that live in OTR and they are VERY pro-streetcar and will be using the system when it is up.
  8. Sounds like a real winner to me! Eatin wieners at the piano bar
  9. . I heard Chef Ramsay runs Via Vite? Lester I dare you to tell it to face in his kitchen!
  10. Dam, Where am I gonna get my gold teeth caps now?
  11. orange is the color of the bengals.. Green is revolutionary!
  12. orange??? How about green?
  13. How about we dress up like this? Probably won't be allowed to bring a stapler into city hall though. I'm gonna wear my OTR pin I bought at Urban Eden awhile back. Probably have my famous OTR bumper stickers to give out also.
  14. I'll let you know, Im gonna hop on my moped tommorow and find out.

  17. Don't give them any ideas! Im not, They have made bad mistakes in the past. Stephen Leeper of 3cdc reccomended the Mercer commons site to CPS to replace the Washington Park School 2 years ago. CPS bought the buildings and we almost lost 22 contributing buildings in OTR. 1329 Walnut 1333 Walnut 1335 Walnut 1339 Walnut 1341 Walnut (2 blgs) 1349-55 Walnut (3blg?) 17 Mercer 19 Mercer 23-25 Mercer 27 Mercer 18, 20, 24 Mercer 26 Mercer 25 E. 14th St. 11 E. 14th (not owned by schools) 1317 Walnut (front and rear blgs) 1313 Walnut They are currently doing alot of good in the Gateway but they are not GOD.
  18. The only thing I have to complain about is Thru trucks entering our great city. I won't be happy till all thru trucks are diverted onto 275.
  19. LOL :yap: quit complaining then. Trolley/streetcar it's all good! The PCC car is one of my alltime faves. Mr rogers trolley? I would ride it, Bring it!
  20. That article was a good laugh. I am starting to think he is a disgruntled ex-parking attendant. Haha mimes!! That's what the square was missing!!! :banger: ummmm people who eat lunch?? and relax?? Well this is a positive statement! the square used to die a 6 and now it dies at 7-8. If we keep working hard it will be 11-12 ish.
  21. I used to take the bus with my son in a stroller, you have to fold up the stroller and its a huge hassle paying the fee with one hand a stroller in the other and wiggly worm in your arms. Total pain in the ass! With a streetcar baby strollers can roll right on.
  22. I talked with someone at work the other day and they mentioned that their daughter went to the Art Academy. We spoke about OTR and how it is improving. To make a long story short, they blame the new crime wave that is going on in Mt washington because of the displacement of crime in OTR. One things for sure I bet they listen to 700 wlw!
  23. Hey! I'm allowed to dream a little. We also need to have Jim Tarbell break a limited edition Christian Moerlein OTR Beer Stein on the streetcar. :-D
  24. Scott Sloan and the rest of WLW have been Kool Aid servers for the anti-urban suburbanite sheeples for as long as I can remember. There IS a demand for the streetcar, and I'll be on the maiden voyage when it rolls.
