Nice Ronnie, That looks sweet. I am not a real big fan of Tiaras and spires but that looks fantastic. Heres my favorite building in the world. Tallest building in Japan, earthquake proof, 2nd fastest elevator in the world 1 floor per second and I had a fantastic view of this from my apartment window. Wish we had this puppy in the Nati!! QCS 2 is a beautiful building I can hardly wait!

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
The original article had the headlines "5 die in Mason Fire", even though they stated that there were stab wounds on bodies later in the article. If it was OTR the News would say 5 Dead in OTR Murder Rampage and state that there was a fire later in the article. I am just calling out the media on this.

Making light of the situation? YGTBFKM The Father should be skinned slowly and dipped in saltwater for what he did. Killing your own Family is beyond evil. Let me rephrase that... Currently Mason is more dangerous than cincinnati if you are a kid.

Looks like Mason is more dangerous than the city of cincinnati. They just had 5 homicides last night. http://www.wcpo.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=b1f94271-8331-4a79-8620-4771a69e699e

Cincinnati: Central Parkway and Broadway Commons Pictures
Were you taking pictures in City West last week? or if not who was it here?? Can't wait for something big to happen at Broadway. I think there should be a large Light Rail/Streetcar/bus termimal with moving walkways towards downtown. Heck there is a subway tube a few blocks west of there. Perfect site for all transit uses

Kendle International Branding Carew Tower
This is utterly sacriligious! I would rather have a vacant Carew tower than have KENDLE written all over the top of it!

I don't know why but this carjacking story made me chuckle a little. CINCINNATI -- Police are investigating an Over-The-Rhine carjacking Friday morning. Investigators said a gunman wearing a fake mustache and black jacket stole the car around 5:30 a.m. from a driver near the intersection of Vine Street and East Clifton Avenue. Investigators said the gunman fled southbound in the car, a gold 2002 Chevrolet Impala with Kentucky plates.

OTR is not downtown. Queensgate is the perfect place for a citylink/freestore/dropinn center like facility.

This place had better have good meatballs, since every other post or article talks about the meatballs. I bet they aren't as good as grandmas meatballs!!

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
I hope they leave it alone. I'm going to have a incredible unobstructed view from the north of QCS2 from my balcony where the QCS1 tops out. It's going to sit pretty between the Times Star building and Atrium. Note to self... Better stock the fridge full of beer. :-D

Bring it up Liberty Hill/Highland just like the good old days. Got this shot when the street was being repaved. It would be almost impossible to get from Liberty to Liberty Hill though with the amount of traffic... http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b13/Hakaida/?action=view¤t=railonhighland007.jpg

Cincinnati's Pill Hill
Don't forget the German Deaconess Home and Hospital on Liberty Hill In 1888, the German Deaconness Home and Hospital opened at 533 Liberty Hill under the direction of Sisters Ann Kypke and Sophie Mundy, who had emigrated from Germany. They cared for patients who were primarily sick from typhoid, tuberculosis, and alcoholism. When the hospital on Straight Street opened in 1902, the building on Liberty Hill was used as a maternity hospital and infants boarding home for homeless or needy babies. (It was the beginnings of the Children's Home which is now in Oakley.) To help the neighborhood mothers keep and care for their children, they provided child care, thus becoming one of Cincinnatis first daycare centers.

From wikipedia: Wesley Chapel was a Methodist church in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Built in 1831 on the north side of Fifth Street between Broadway and Sycamore, it was a simple red brick Georgian structure copied after John Wesley's original Methodist church in London. With 1,200 seats, it was the largest meeting place west of the Alleghenies and the largest building in Cincinnati, Ohio for many years. It was the seat of Methodism in Cincinnati. The funeral of William Henry Harrison took place there in 1841. In 1845, former president John Quincy Adams spoke at Wesley Chapel, dedicating the new Cincinnati Observatory being built on Mount Adams. In the years before the Civil War, political rallies and anti-slavery meetings frequently were held there. During the early years, a cemetery was near the Chapel on Fifth Street, when the Wesleyan Cemetery, was founded in 1843 many of the bodies were moved to the new cemetery. A long struggle took place between 1965 and 1972 between the Procter & Gamble Corporation and the people who wanted to save the oldest surving church in the city, Wesley Chapel. P & G offered several options, including moving the building across the street. The congregation elected to build a new church in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Wesley Chapel was demolished in 1972. http://www.cincinnatimemory.org/gsdl/collect/greaterc/archives/HASHa983/80dfdf69.dir/ocp000263pccpc.jpg

Ok, I need 1 more council member to vote for. I promised Cole I would vote for her since she came out against closing the Collins ave steps, and Thomas ONLY because he came out for the streetcars. Bortz, Crowley,Kaup,Qualls,Cole,Berding,Thomas and Harris. I need 1 more. Who that is prostreetcar has the best chance of winning that I didn't list. Thanks!- Cincinnati: Good Hiking Places
Don't go on Walk #16 though or you'll be in for a big disapointment. Some clowncil members closed one of my favorite walks in that book.- Gas Prices
I agree I love high gas prices, $10/gal would be awesome!- Cincinnati: Pharmacy OTR
Too bad its in the ugliest building in OTR and actually the ugliest building in the city. - Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
