LOL A dog park would be cool. I say get rid of the pool, there are pools a few blocks north and east of there.

Forgive me if this has been asked before. Will the Streetcar like buses have a get off point where everybody must exit? I have heard some cities have had problems where homeless would stay on the streetcars all day.

I walk down Main because it's the safest passage to the CBD at certain hours. The loitering and litter has gotten really bad at Peter Cleavers though. Kaldis is not a problem bar, unless you think hipsters,punks, artists and hippies are thugs. 8-) More bars like Kaldis is what I want down there. The owner cares about the neighborhood and its residents who frequent his establishment.

My battery is always dead from lack of use, guess thats a good thing though. I wish I could be 100% car free but in the winter when there is ice I have to use a car to commute to work.

Everyone I know that lives on Main wants it to be what it is north of 13th. Who wants to live next to a rap or crappy rock cover band club like jefferson hall? When I lived at 4th and Plum I dreaded Thurs night/ Fri morning. Hip Hop night at Spy Club on 5th was so loud after midnight. People gunning engines and speeding down the street, drunk girls screaming Woohoooooo at 3 am in and patrons peeing on the sidewalk, cars, sides of buildings..Nobody wants to live next to that nonsense, especailly if you are a homeowner.

BS, I'll be happy when all those Clubs are gone. I want residential and less social services on main s of 13th. OTR's club scene is going away and it has been a cap in the ass of OTR for a long time. I want Main to be a quiet residential Arts district with some cool small local bars and none of that red carpet glitzy crap.

Right on Cramer I noticed that too. The best view ever is from the top of the Hiram Steps on Milton St in Prospect Hill.

I was walking down Mercer st OTR this morning and saw that 14 Mercer was for sale I didn't think much of it at first but then I realized after a few blocks away that this building is owned by CPS and is right where the Washington Park School was to be built a few years ago. If this is for sale this is very good news! Maybe CPS will liquidate the land and buildings?? DOWNTOWN CRIME STATS FOR JUNE 2007 RELEASED Did you know that JANUARY to JUNE 2007 STATS for DOWNTOWN show a 11.4 percent DECREASE in Part 1 (serious) crimes and a 35.4 percent DECREASE in June alone! Plus a 16.1 percent DECREASE in Part 2 crimes? District 1 is now in LAST PLACE when compared to the other districts! (Like golf, that is good!) The CBD is now experiencing the lowest rate of crime in the past seven years! RECALL THESE STATS FOR YEAR-END 2006: + For Downtown, Total Part 1 Crimes were DOWN 22.7 percent + For all of District 1, Part 1 Crimes were DOWN 17.4 percent. + For Downtown, Total Part 2 (lesser tier) Crimes were DOWN 12.9 percent + For all of District 1, Part 2 Crimes were DOWN 8.5 percent.

A Tallest skyscraper get's people talking. Just like a tallest, longest, fastest roller coaster does. It is something to brag about.

I am all for a new tallest, Cincinnati was booming in the 30's even during the depression this city really achieved greatness with it's Art Deco buildings and Viaducts. Downtown is in another boom and this might top the 80's in which many of our skyscrapers were built. Cincinnati is conservative and this discussion of new buildings shows. (god forbid we change the PYRAMID!!) Granted a Burg Dubai might not look right, but there IMO there is nothing wrong with a building that is taller than carew.

I usually think small but as far as buildings go I say build them as big as needed. New Tokyo Tower will be the largest Radio tower in the world.

The Good-HVAC means the window air-conditioners will be gone and the restoration of the facade will be a vast improvement. The Bad-The building will be gutted and interior historical features will be lost or covered over.

I rarely drive the interstate but last week I had a semi throw a rock(he was doing about 75, me 60) on 71 near the Reading rd exit. Now I have a cracked windshield on a car that is hard to find. Oh yea he had Michigan plates. I am a little biased but would be very happy for a truck ban.

Totally agree! I get bored quick just about anywhere else in the city. Give me Findlay Market on a Saturday morning everyday. I know that Tender Mercies is not like a "citylink" or drop inn center. I was playing devils advocate a little like I usually do 8-)
