Yea that garage is actually my least fave downtown. I always cross the street rather than walk thru that dark corridor. I have heard some ghost stories about that woman who was stabbed to death by her X in there. She is said to swirl "Downtowner" and "citybeat" papers in the air when someone approaches. I don't believe in that nonsense but it is kinda creepy. anyway...death to all surface lots and ugly parking garages!!!

Yea, I guess he did like sniffing.....There were also good size sticks for him to pickup and chew since there was never any maintenance done. I love city greenspace but that lot was the the worst one in the CBD.

My dog didn't even like shitting in that old greenspace. It was a tangle of roots, cigarette butts and crusted vomit.

I originally heard it would be extended to walnut. Get ready for BIG changes on liberty. There will be a new traffic pattern at liberty and liberty hill, including a traffic light. Liberty hill going down the hill from highland you will have to make a sharp left at the bottom. This will slow speeders going down the hill and you will be able to turn left onto eastbound liberty safely at the new light.

Somebody needs to send them the link to urbanohio so they can see how real urbanists think.

I haven't commented on OTR much lately. I just took a walk around the northern boundaries and could not believe all the construction that is going on. I am now convinced that things are changing at a very high rate of speed for the better! :-) I think Price Hill and avondale are going to be the future OTR's of cincinnati The sheriff was out patrolling and I saw more sheriff than CPD in an hours time. Yay for Sheriff Leis!

　I saw several people with clip boards looking at that land less than a year ago. I asked them what was going on and they said it was going to become a parking lot for a nursing home on broadway. This better not be true because you can't just put an asphalt parking lot in a historic district without review from the historic review board. :x We need to dig into this and make sure this is not the case. Also I heard the land that was for sale that extends from liberty hill to corporation alley has been sold. 2 vacant lots sold for over $90,000. Condos are being planned at this time.

I have met many new faces on main st that have moved in within the last year and they could care less about nightlife on main. Main is an arts and residential district now. I have outgrown the loud music and smoky bar scene and have to agree I like main without the loud nightlife. Go South young man :wink:

Dang... what a POS! :-o This is a HUGE dissapointment.. If I was looking for a condo I would pass that place up just because of the top of the buildings appearance.

I have 80 bumper stickers available. Gave a few out at the OTR Media event at findlay market today. I'm asking $1.50 a piece to cover costs and to make up for the freebies I have given out. If you live downtown or got to the Aronoff on a regular basis you might remember this joint. This is walnuts streets version of the Bay Horse Cafe. If you have any issues with the place, read on.. IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: THE PHOENIX CAFE 3 dozen resident letters have been received by the Cincinnati Police Department re: the Phoenix Cafe and the first open hearing on the matter was on Tuesday April 4 at 6 PM at City Hall. Several residents came forth to express their concerns. The SECOND, AND FINAL, City Council hearing on this matter will be TUESDAY APRIL 18 at 3 PM...third floor at City Hall. Residents who have concerns/comments are encouraged to attend so that their voices can be heard. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE to be heard.

The CSO without music hall would be a joke. I could care less about the symphony if they weren't in that grand building. I only go to the symphony about 3 times a year but as long as they stay at music hall I will support them 100%

Are they trying to make people think Findlay market?? You would think that with 50 extra cops in OTR they would have cops lined up and down vine st on a saturday night. LAST UPDATE: 4/16/2006 11:50:46 AM Cincinnati Police are looking for a black male with the nickname of "Chico" in the shooting of one man and the near-shooting of another. It happened around 11 Saturday night in the 1200 block of Vine Street in Over The Rhine. One victim was shot in the right foot. Another was grazed on the left forearm. No motive given for the shooting.

I know John personally and think he is one of the great pioneers along the same lines as jim tarbell. I hope that janke gets fired for dissing john. What has janke done for the neighborhood? NADA I don't care if securitas patrols OTR. We need lots of cops and the CPD hasn't been doing there job in OTR till 2 days ago. Bring in the sheriff we need to get these thugs off the streets! Most of the prostitutes solicit around Walnut st north and south of the liberty corridor and also Mcmicken between vine and Mohawk.
