I got 32/33. Missed this one: What was the source of the following phrase: “Government of the people, by the people, for the people”? That is very impressive N. Congrats
  2. The top 5 tv markets for college basketball are Louisville, Raleigh Durham, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis etc. Eleven markets have been in the top five at least once from 2002-03 to 2012-13: Charlotte, Cincinnati, Columbus, Greensboro, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Knoxville, Louisville, Memphis, Oklahoma City and Raleigh-Durham. http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2013/03/mens-college-basketball-most-viewed-regular-season-ever-on-espn/

  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NCAA_Men%27s_Division_I_Basketball_Tournament_venues I think a renovated US Bank could be a candidate for early round NCAA games.

I picked the same wrong Tax-Debt answer as you.

I think 75% and up is a good score.

Civics quiz, been out of college for 25 years and got 26/33 correct which is better than college freshman and seniors. Don't cheat. http://www.isi.org/quiz.aspx?q=FE5C3B47-9675-41E0-9CF3-072BB31E2692 http://www.isi.org/quiz.aspx?q=FE5C3B47-9675-41E0-9CF3-072BB31E2692 •Average scores for the 25 selective colleges — chosen for type, geographic location and U.S. News & World Report ranking — were much higher than the 25 randomly selected schools for both freshmen (56.6% vs. 43.7%) and seniors (59.4% vs. 48.4%), but the elite schools didn't add as much civic knowledge between the freshman and senior years. At elite schools, the seniors averaged 2.8 points higher than the freshmen vs. 4.7 points for the randomly selected schools. •Harvard seniors had the highest average at 69.6%, 5.97 points higher than its freshmen but still a D+. A Harvard senior posted the only perfect score. •In general, the better a college's U.S. News & World Report ranking, the less its civic literacy gain. Yale, with the highest-scoring freshmen (68.94%), along with Princeton, Duke and Cornell, were among eight schools with freshmen outscoring seniors. •The average senior had taken four college courses in history, economics or political science and scored 3.8 points higher than the average freshman, a civic knowledge gain of about one point per course. •Raw scores did not correlate to voting or civic participation, but the more seniors outscored their school's freshman average, the more likely they were to vote and be involved in civic activities. "Several of the colleges at the lower end of our survey are some of the most prestigious in the country, with average tuition, room and board somewhere north of $40,000 a year," Bunting says. "These are the schools, although their stated mission is to help prepare active citizens, that are the most derelict in their responsibility." While freshmen at elite colleges tended to score higher to start with, there is not much of a "ceiling effect" in which gains get harder to make closer to the top, as their scores are still not that high, says Kenneth Dautrich of the University of Connecticut's Department of Public Policy, which administered the study. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/education/2007-09-17-history-test_n.htm
  8. rabbit hash, I agree 100% about "amenities". You can have a great atmosphere in a Hinkle or at Kansas or Duke, but those old Arenas lack amenities, and the seating is tight. Lots of noise on the UC message boards about a major US Bank renovation and UC parking basketball there. Downtown business community, maybe 1 corporation in particular is supposed to help out. UC will put a little money toward the renovation but not much, certainly not the lion's share. Many think this helps to brand UC Basketball more significantly. Downtown is just so much more different and alive than it was post Gale Gatlett / Tony Yates when UC used to play down there. Totally different Downtown and totally different bball program also. I think the power brokers would like to see UC fill that Gap between the Bengals season end and the start of Reds season, which of course is college basketball. FWIW the Yum Center is awesome.
  9. Houston, LA, Seattle have buildings close to that height. Atlas, I had never heard about the height agreement before.
  10. Santa J. Ono ‏@PrezOno 1h Discussed Burnet Woods w Mayor Cranley. Vision would be to revitalize park for all; much like Washington Park in OTR. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/54391672/ http://www.nbcnews.com/id/54391672/#.Uv9mCmJdVDQ
  11. How many beers deep is this guy? Sorry, I meant little guy. So you have graduated from calling UC fans little man, to personally calling me little. Why so you quote me and ask "how many beers deep is this guy?" Would it be more appropriate to ask "how many beers deep are you". A harmless prank has you all flustered.
  12. I heard OSU is ranked #1 in the we have more fans that shop at Wal Mart category. Bama is close behind at #2. UC, Miami and Ohio University did not make the cut (Tier 2 of course).
  13. Mock selection committee has UC as #3 seed playing #14 Cleveland St. in Buffalo http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/mock-selection/2014-02-13/inside-committee-room
  14. Hey Buckeyes, from 1961 prior to the National Championship game, when UC beat you. And then UC beat you the following year, :shoot:
  15. UC had nothing to do with this. A couple of 20 year old kids did this. And the "secondary" language is silly. UC is a major top 25 public research University. Why does it seem like everyone in CIN has little man's complex? Hard to believe that a harmless prank would even register to all mighty OSU fans (maybe this demonstrates who the little guys are)

  17. I think Springsteen is booked for US Bank Arena soon. I found an 80's cover band in a Covington bar that works for me. Usually Saturday nights, fun dump of a bar. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/dining/2013/12/19/the-forum-in-covington-serves-italian-and-live-music/
  18. That means it is good for the L to be close, but no station at The United is not optimal.
  19. There actually two fantastic dentists as well as two primary care physician locations (see below) downtown. PM me if you have any questions. The Christ Hospital Physicians - Primary Care (312 Walnut St) - this is where I go UC Health Downtown Medical Office - Primary Care (US Bank Tower at 425 Walnut St) - http://healthnews.uc.edu/news/?/23624/ Dentists are usually OK tenants for Class A operators, and B also. My dentist is in the Carew Tower and before that the TriState Bld. Been going there since the 70s'.
  20. I agree and even then I don't see it happening. 5/3 at UC gets a renovation or UC works out a deal where hopefully AEG renovates US Bank and does a deal with UC. Also US Bank has 2 concourses, 1 is interior where you can see the court (that is wide) and the concourse where concessions and restrooms are located. A solid renovation down there would modernize it enough.........suite in the lower portion of the upper seating area and you gut some of concession areas, open it up, and fill that with restaurant/bar areas with tables, seating, flat screens etc.
  21. The L does not go to the United Center? that is bad planning.
  22. Multi Tenant Class A owners don't want surgery centers and people in wheelchairs zipping around the lobby. Most Class A medical office buildings only have medical tenants.
