Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Dalton missed too many open shots, especially in the first half. That should have been a 30-10 win. Steelers have no hammer at RB, no Heath Miller, no play makers on offense.

The drivers in ________ city SUCK!
The issue is the low clearance of the bridge. There should be 50 warning signs or something telling truck drivers to stop. The name of the video is 11' 8" the clearance height. Dam near everyone assumes that a truck will pass safely under a bridge.

No better or worse than anywhere else. The complaints about the church and neighbors not introducing themselves seems frivolous. Did he introduce himself to others? He has been here 4 decades so how can he compare Cincy to anywhere else, parallel universe somewhere?

US Economy: News & Discussion
The U.S. attorney’s office in Springfield has been busy the past few years investigating a variety of fraud schemes involving state grants. Thirteen people have been charged so far, six who have pleaded guilty. Two of them have ties to President Barack Obama. One is the daughter of his controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Another was chief of staff to Obama’s longtime friend Eric E. Whitaker when Whitaker was Illinois’ public health chief. In all, prosecutors are alleging a total of $16 million in fraud involving state health or commerce department grants and contracts. http://www.suntimes.com/22212263-761/watchdogs-tally-in-illinois-grant-fraud-probe-so-far-13-charged-16m-embezzled.html

So what is up with Inc Research, formerly Kendle? All of their Carew Tower space just went on the sublease market, 116,000 RSF. Are they closing operations here, downsizing or moving?

University of Cincinnati Bearcats Football Discussion
UC is super deep. 66 players played on Saturday. 2nd string linebackers would have started on any of Kelly's UC teams. What blew me away is that RS Freshman Deshayn Bond started at Center for UC, his first start, and he beat Gaston and Issac, who are Purdue's best players, all day long. Play calling was very vanilla, execution was outstanding. 2 five yard penalties for UC, that was it.

Cincinnati Lunken Airport
10 years ago Lunken had 150,000 take offs a year. It has steadily decreased to 70,000 last year. Adding 6, 20, or 50 commercial takeoffs a week isn't going to kill anyone. Waiting for Columbus, Indy and Dayton to get better IS what has currently been happening. How's it working? Could not agree more. I live in the decent glide path of Lunken and the noise is very little. If the city-lunken and Allegiant can get a deal done that would be great.

Bearcats climb to #30 in the AP Poll and #29 in USA Today. Another smack down of Illinois might get UC into the top 25 next week.

First pick was good play by Purdue DT, second int was on Munchie. Best game he has played to date, but Kay is still the better player. McClung got surprised by that excellent punt. Bond made his first start at Center, Redshirt Freshman, and played very well. Beers went down very easily at the game.

University of Cincinnati Bearcats Football Discussion
UC is going to play a large rotation of players on Sat. I hope McClung plays, most experienced WR on the team. Still wondering if Holton and the WR transfer from Arkansas are eligible to play WR? Really hope Kay is good to go.

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
Seems they are doing the right thing. If they can't afford it they are using a less expensive alternative. If these are backwater west Texas roads going to oil fields those roads need to be gravel or Concrete. Asphalt can't handle those loads nor the heat. Any good quality distribution warehousing projects have concrete roads and parking areas for the trucks.

Cincinnati Lunken Airport
Yes I could picture this. The terminals are small so you don't need luggage and people movers. I used to fly into Ft. Walton Eglin, before they renovated their terminal, often and it was great. If they can share runways with an Air Force base no issue adding a few daily commercial flights at Lunken. What Air Force base are you speaking of? Where is an air force base even close to Lunken? If you are speaking of WPAFB there is absolutely no connection. I trhink you are off in some neverland somewhere. Don't make it personal. Ft. Walton Eglin, in Florida, for years had a tiny terminal but a good amount of commercial flights. They share runways with the contiguous Air Force Base called Eglin. Adding a small amount of commercial flights is not difficult or bothersome to the Corporate activity at Lunken.

The East side of Nippert isn't too bad restroom wise, and the concourse is extended to the plaza around Fifth Third Arena and the tennis courts where there is also, food, beer, and porto o johns. Most college stadiums have issues with having enough johns and such, they are not NFL stadiums for sure. The upcoming renovation will be well received. In the Sheakley lawn and tailgating grid you buy $1 Draft beers.
