  1. There are no domestic passenger rail car manufacturers. There are domestic suppliers of materials and components, and US Railcar is here in Ohio but has no assembly plant. http://us.bombardier.com/us/bt_manufacturing.htm http://www.oregoniron.com/industry-divisions/transportation-industry/ ?
  2. Yeah, write the ticket and let em go. Tensing opened the door without permission. He wanted to see if they had booze or drugs. He wanted the name of the passenger so he could run his name for outstanding warrants, no probable cause though. He asked for name and DOB yet the driver wouldn't give it. Maybe stuff happened before the video, but the driver refused to answer very simple questions which escalated the situation. They had the driver's license prior to the start of the video. They ran the plates, his name, and checked with the city for any violations. The cop supervisor said at the end of the video we are going to write up the violation and you can exercise whatever your rights are etc.

  4. Heavy favorites to win the conference.
  5. Can one of cars be equipped with a bar and flat screens?
  6. Look good, clean, not distracting. Helmet and logo are sharp.
  7. C-Dawg, you will see some good sized tenants make the move to Oakland from SF or Silicon Valley. If enough employees move that way because it in affordable, employers will follow. Apple is probably paying $60-70 RSF for the space. 1 article said 15% of their employees live in SF.

It isn't just that, X has no programs ranked in USNWR. Their academic rankings are not relative what is called national universities. Their rankings are similar to Division 2-3 athletic rankings. I wonder how many students there pay the advertised tuition?
  9. He wasn't dragged. Dubose started the engine, put it gear, Tensing said stop, reached in grabbed the seat belt, pulled out his pistol and shot him point blank. About 3 seconds max. Tensing might have fell down on purpose after he killed him.
  10. When you stop the video right before the shot, Dubose had both hands up. scary
  11. Yep, man I got chills watching that. Felt like he was waiting for any sudden movement from those guys and pull out the pistol. He also lied about opening the door, those guys busted him on camera.
  12. Tensing, May 2014, at at traffic stop. Seems like he pulled over a car due to a dinged up front bumper. He gets owned by the driver, passenger. He also gets caught in a lie.
  13. I am a dyed in the wool law and order guy. No legit reason to shoot.
  14. UC needs to do what is in their best interests.
  15. The AAC is not quite in that ballpark, according to the NCAA. As you can see below, the Big Ten is just under 13K, the ACC just over 11K, the SEC just under 11K, the Big XII just over 10K, and the Big East just under 10K. Then there is a fairly big drop off down to the PAC-12 and Mountain West in the 7500 range, and the AAC comes in around 6300 per game. http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2015-07-06/mens-basketball-attendance-numbers-slightly-2014-15 Overall attendance was actually up last year according to the NCAA, albeit by just a few hundred fans. 2015 DIVISION I BASKETBALL CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE Entire Season Conference Tournament Total Games or 2015 Change Total Total Teams Sessions Attendance Average In Avg. 16. te] Yep Video has to be really
  17. I agree Sal. AAC, ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big East.....average attendance is between 9K-11K. BIG is north of 13K.
  18. I agree with you R.
  19. I am no expert, but UC shelled out 2 Million in that taser death a few years ago, and there was no criminal conduct by the UC cop.......so if this case is about criminal conduct by a UC Cop, gotta think get the checkbook out.
  20. Maybe if they could get a state of the art facility on campus, but moving UC's arena off campus would be a mistake. I don't see how they'd get an 17k+ arena on campus. Plus, UC struggles to get 10,000 to games with the exception of bigger name teams, so playing in a 17k seat arena will give it an empty feeling. Maybe bringing them downtown would help increase attendance make it more of a destination instead of more geared towards students. Helping improve the image of the program and attract bigger name recruits. They used to play downtown and IIRC attendance wasn't exactly stellar. Not saying it couldn't be now but IMO it should remain on campus. Actually UC's attendance down there was very good, until the program went into the tank and on probation. BTW I just looked up attendance..... Cats averaged about 10,000 this past season. Low major games don't draw well, mid/high majors and conference games 12-13K.
  21. I don't see much controversy unless there no indictment and if the video looks bad. Seems like and indictment is forthcoming. UC will have to get out the checkbook.

Maybe they did not like the deal points being presented.
  23. UC did their research, and in order to have appropriate common areas, suites, premium seating they had to take out bleacher seats that nobody wants anyway.
  24. What airline and what is the average cost? SFO to?
