  1. NBC has drone footage of the progress. Here's a link to just the video. https://www.nbc4i.com/intel-in-ohio/see-recent-progress-at-the-intel-site-in-new-albany/
  2. The Hubbard, Lincoln, and Gateway garage-lined townhomes all face south. Edit, I guess the Gateway has them on the north side too. I must never be on that side haha.
  3. A 46-unit affordable housing building from Woda Cooper. https://ohiohome.org/ppd/proposals/2021/HTC/ColumbusRenaissance.pdf
  4. When I lived in Groveport and wanted to avoid 33 I'd stop at that light from 70 to Alum Creek and wonder what that building was, and how it was a pretty cool location. Good to see it's getting new life!

  6. This is correct. The site plan calls for a garage at 550 Thomas Lane, west of the Bing Cancer Center.
  7. Yep. That building is also older. 1909 or 1911. It has a different address so I'd think it'd need its own demo request. There's no request for 245 Mt Vernon.
  8. That's what gave me pause initially, but the six story portion has a footprint of just 8,285 square feet. So six floors comes nowhere near 100,575 square feet. The footprint of the four story portion is 12,256 square feet. So 4 x 12,256 + 6 x 8,285 = ~100,000 square feet. Now, maybe their intention was always to demolish the whole thing and then reuse façade materials like they did at Verve?
  9. Maybe we can leverage this into finally hosting a Sweet Sixteen.
  10. Unfortunately it looks like it'll be the whole structure. Although the auditor's website has been wrong for me before. It certainly looks like two separately constructed sections, but the auditor page lists just one building at 100,575 square feet. The same requested in the demo: You'll notice the emergency hazard notice at the top. It says sections have collapsed and further collapse could be imminent. Probably the storm damage @amped91mentioned.
  11. https://columbusunderground.com/addition-proposed-for-downtown-warehouse-building-bw1/ This one?
  12. I hope it is the case. That would mean they're moving forward with that nice proposal.
  13. From the looks of that maybe they're just demolishing the six story portion? I think the four story is the original and the six is from the 60s. I didn't remember that proposal. Thanks!
  14. Maybe they'll start their development plans here, even if that wasn't the original plan? They don't need more parking so I hope a replacement is in hand. It's interesting they're marketing this as the Warehouse District, but their second order of business is demolishing one of them. Speaking of the Warehouse District, maybe this could be its own thread? Especially if they go big like we're all hoping.
