Columbus: Scioto Peninsula Developments and News
The lot to the north was created after the death of the owner of the buildings that were there, William Benua, in 1992. His trust still owns this property among other pretty run down looking apartments and warehouses in central Columbus. Doubt they're willing to part with this lot. Side note, his wife willed their now demolished mansion and 600 acres to Clear Creek Metro Park. I believe it was the mansion Metro Parks leased favorably to Waggenbrenner for 20 years before they were caught and decided to demolish it in 2019. Of course they say the demolished it to preserve nature.

Dublin: Bridge Park / Bridge Street District Developments and News
aderwent replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionA: The Oscars boutique hotel is in architectural review now. B: This is approved. C: CoHatch was selected to rebab these properties. D: Indus Bridge Park is in preliminary review. E: This is approved. F: These are under construction. G: This is approved. H: This is approved. I: This is nearly complete. J: This is under construction. K: Cardinal South is in preliminary review. L: Mount Carmel is still in Planning review. M: The newest announcement. This parcel plus the upthread-mentioned strip mall to the East were both rezoned under a single rezoning last year. When Crawford mentioned they have space to the East I take it to mean East of the current development, not this new one since he said we decided to go South instead. The only properties remaining to the East are the two car dealerships between Bridge Park and Wendy's HQ. They also have two parcels North of the Cadillac dealership on the South side of Bridge Park Ave forming an "L" around the COTA park and ride. I wonder if Wendy's is interested in modernizing their campus into something less insular? edit: Open the image in a new tab and click the +. You'll get a giant image you can move around and see better.

Dublin: Bridge Park / Bridge Street District Developments and News
aderwent replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThe Dispatch has a little more. Bridge Park to expand, add second hotel, restaurants south of Rt. 161 "We expect to have one hotel tower and one condo tower, with a signature restaurant in the hotel building," said Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO of the restaurant company. "Our goal is to have the best hotel in the city." Mitchell said he and Brent Crawford, the founder of Crawford Hoying, have discussed partnering for years on a hotel and have looked at several sites before settling on this one. Crawford and Mitchell said they expect the hotel to be the best in town. They did not say if it would be independent or affiliated with a brand. "With the hotel, we're trying to create an experience and offering that doesn’t exist in Columbus right now," Crawford said. "We’re shooting to raise the level. In experience and stay, we want to elevate the stock that’s available in Columbus, and believe there's no better place to do it than in Bridge Park. Our existing hotels have performed extremely well for us." "It's always important to meet the demand of the time," he said. "We didn’t expect to have as much office as we have, for example, and the same might be said of for-sale condos. With each new restaurant and development, we're drawing on a larger radius. When Bridge Park opened, we predominantly drew Dublin residents but now, it's a destination not only around Columbus but regionally." Crawford said developers hope to build a pedestrian link between existing Bridge Park and the development to the south. "We feel a pedestrian connection to the first phase of Bridge Park is really important," he said. "We're exploring all options to get pedestrians across the street." https://www.dispatch.com/story/business/2022/10/19/cameron-mitchel-to-partner-in-major-bridge-park-expansion/69574267007/ Sounds like they're thinking Columbus' first five star.

aderwent replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionCameron Mitchell Restaurants and Crawford Hoying Announce Plans to Bring Premier Boutique Hotel to Downtown Dublin Award-winning, Columbus-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) and noted mixed-use developer Crawford Hoying have announced their partnership in bringing a first-of-its kind, upscale hotel to Central Ohio. The boutique hotel will feature a new signature CMR restaurant, several unique food and beverage options, multiple outdoor spaces, and an event and conference center -- each embodying CMR’s extraordinary genuine hospitality and culinary excellence. Located Southeast of the 161 roundabout at Riverside Drive and West Granville Road, the hotel will be part of a mixed-use expansion of Bridge Park in downtown Dublin. “After nearly 30 years in business, we are unbelievably excited for our foray into the hotel industry. It was a natural decision to align with our longtime partner, Crawford Hoying, on this endeavor. This will undoubtedly be one of the premier hotels in the Midwest, combining the legendary culinary experience we’re known for with a preeminent hospitality focus,” said Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “We’ve been working on this project idea with Crawford Hoying for years, and not only will it be the best hotel in the city, but it will also be a place for Columbus residents and visitors alike to gather, celebrate, dine, and relax. We couldn’t be happier to bring this one-of-a-kind, culinary-forward lifestyle hotel concept to our hometown, and to the rapidly expanding Bridge Park development.” “This hotel and development are important additions to Bridge Park and Central Ohio,” said Brent Crawford, principal and founder of Crawford Hoying. “We understand it’s a big undertaking, but we’re looking forward to once again partnering with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and working with the City of Dublin and the local community to bring this luxury hotel to the region.” https://www.crawfordhoying.com/news/cameron-mitchell-restaurants-and-crawford-hoying-announce-plans-to-bring-premier-boutique-hotel-to-downtown-dublin

Columbus: Polaris Developments and News
aderwent replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThe Outback on Polaris Pkwy will be a .5 mile fully sidewalked walk 😜. Snarkiness aside, it's not traditionally walkable, but you can get to quite a bit of things from here via sidewalk. I see people using them all the time now before all the connective infrastructure is finished. There's also still 30+ other acres in the immediate area to be developed. The bike trail infrastructure here also connects to Westerville's extensive network of trails and parks. It'll be fairly easy to bike to Hoover (and soon Alum Creek) Reservoir and Highbanks Metro Park, too. Is this Bridge Park? No, but it's still an improvement over the legacy developments in the area. Also, there are seven fairly large office buildings within less than a mile from here plus the proposed office space. There will be people who will want to live here to walk to work, restaurants, entertainment, and grocery.

aderwent replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThe site plan I posted above mentions the six floor mixed-use building will have 24,000 square feet of "entertainment". Pins? If so it'd be quite a bit smaller than the Easton location at 38,000 square feet.

aderwent replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionIf by "parcels" they mean landowners this would be a larger project than the tower hopefully coming across the street by Landmark. Epic Realty owns a few properties around campus. Their mailing address is that of Pella Property Management. FIMOK must be the name of the entity that owns Litlle Bar. Looks like the feasibility is being done by yet another out-of-town developer. Another from Austin, American Campus Communities. *Edit. Oops, I labeled UMC instead of UBC.
