  1. Unfortunately, the grass lot south of the Residence Inn will be a single floor building with a 5,000sqft retail space and a 7,000sqft restaurant with a drive-thru.
  2. They built right up to the sidewalk without destroying street trees! How 'bout that?!
  3. I went to Bubbly Hall today. It doesn't exist! The building is about 90% complete. The parking lot and entrance have curbs, but no pavement. They announced vendors last April, 2021 for a fall 2021 opening after initially shooting for a spring 2021 opening. It seems they ran out of money 😟

Huge! If we can keep Laine it's definitely back to the playoffs I'd say! Gaudreau signs seven-year, $68.25 million contract with Blue Jackets "Johnny Gaudreau signed a seven-year, $68.25 million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $9.75 million. The 28-year-old forward led the Calgary Flames and was tied for second in the NHL last season with 115 points (40 goals, 75 assists) in 82 regular-season games. He led the NHL with a plus-64 rating and set NHL career highs in goals, assists, points, game-winning goals (nine) and shots on goal (262). Gaudreau led the Flames in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 12 games." https://www.nhl.com/news/gaudreau-signs-seven-year-contract-with-blue-jackets/c-334778366?tid=281072352
  5. I'd recommend Ampersand Asian Supper Club. You could try Parlay Sporting Club and Kitchen if you're into sports at all. Galla Park is another option.
  6. In 2010 the Columbus Urbanized Area was 2,680ppsm. This is just using old boundaries with new (ACS) numbers anyway. The Bureau changed the definition of Urbanized Area, and we're still waiting on the 2020 results.
  7. The lot between this building and the AC was originally supposed to be an eight floor office building. That's why there are no windows on that side.
  8. Everything here except the Wild Ohio Brewing Company property. "CC" is the old Columbus Castings property. Editing to add that it's the same owners as The Fort across the street: https://www.thefortcolumbus.com/
  9. Dublin also has an RFP out for the properties behind/catty corner from the Oscar's property. Proposals are due June 29th with a decision in the fall. The portion along the river is slated to be part of an expanded Riverside Crossing Park.

  11. Does your source read these forums 😂
  12. The current building was an auto service center. Not near big enough for a hotel. Here it was: It was 13,764 square feet. The new building will be 25,416 x I assume four floors.
  13. Yet another hotel is coming to Polaris. Sears at Polaris Fashion Place Mall was replaced by FieldhouseUSA sports complex. Now, the former Sears Auto and Tire out building is slated to become some sort of Marriott variant with 190 rooms. It seems to be moving along in the preliminary phases. Wouldn't be surprised to see it under construction by year's end. This will make 17 hotels in the immediate Polaris area. Easton has just ten. With Cabela's, IKEA, Top Golf, FieldhouseUSA, Real Dill Pickleball Club, and I'm sure more to come, Polaris is really setting itself as a destination apart from, but complimentary to, Easton. Things seem to have picked up at Polaris while Easton has stopped since their latest developments came online last summer. Will be interesting to see what's next. The small outlot to the east of the mall across from The Pointe mixed-use development has a commercial development, too. My guess is the rumored Lou Malnati's.
  14. That's what it's zoned for. That whole area is the Bridge Street District. Dublin did this in a matter of a couple years. Meanwhile Columbus code is single story buildings on High in Clintonville with no end in sight.
  15. Springfield approves annexation for 1,200 new homes "The project, should it come to fruition, will be the largest of its kind in the area in decades. Columbus-based Borror property management company submitted the annexation request, and will develop the project. The housing development is among several that have been proposed in the city in recent years. Some residents are opposed to the influx of new housing, saying it will negatively impact schools and other resources. A rezoning request that will allow the latest housing proposal to move forward is awaiting final approval from Springfield commissioners. If the plans submitted by Borror remain the same, the project would result in the construction of 737 single-family homes, 375 multi-family homes and 146 patio-style homes for a total of 1,258 housing units, according to the development application." https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/springfield-approves-annexation-for-1200-new-homes/MKXKAKXYQJG5FPSMQPZW7HESYE/
  16. I assume the comments are from the city, yes. Also, the 26k square foot restaurant must be the Real Dill Pickleball Club. I forgot that was going here.
  17. It is going to be one four story residential building with 136 units; one six story mixed-use building with 259 units, a restaurant, and small office/retail spaces; and a fourth building as an outlot restaurant. The outlot restaurant says 26k square feet which is massive. They were going to have only 73 parking spaces for it, though code requires 347! There will also be a small amphitheater next to the mixed-use building. Here was the preliminary site plan:
  18. Sheetz will soon have three locations in 2.3 miles of Polaris Parkway. Location A at Antares I noticed yesterday had some crews surveying. It is just a grass lot. Location B just west of the 71 interchange will be a "flagship" location. Not sure what that means to Sheetz. The previous buildings have been demolished, but then the owner started suing (and losing to) Sheetz. See here: https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/local/2022/06/03/polaris-area-business-owner-suing-sheetz-breach-contract/9616666002/ I find it funny that the Dispatch says they "flourished" for 25 years. They were always literally $1 more per gallon than all the surrounding stations. They used their location to gouge people. It didn't work so well in the time of internet, and especially social media. I find their sob story laughable. Location C at Worthington Rd. in Westerville appears to be mostly finished.
  19. Bridge Park has the 87 unit Bailey senior living building, and 154 single family townhome units under construction currently. Autumn Rose Woods off Hyland-Croy has 70 single family units since these estimates. Avondale Woods off Avery has added 27 single family homes. Catty-corner from Jacquemin Farms is Hyland Glen with 102 single family homes. Coming up we have Amlin Crossing off Cosgray is supposed to be 425 single family units. Stoneridge Lane is adding 69 multifamily units. Tuller and Riverside is getting 142 multi family units. 184 multifamily townhomes are going across from the single family townhomes at Bridge Park. Dublin Center has a phase one of 292 multifamily units. Metro Place is adding 439 multi family units in two projects. I'm sure there are at least a handful more, but those alone will add almost 2,000 units to the Dublin city limits.
  20. Yeah I see no reason they don't hit it next year. By 2030 we could possibly see Grove City, Delaware, and Lancaster hit 50,000, too. Also, Orange Township in Delaware County will probably beat them all there.
  21. Dublin, you're up!
  22. ...and Fort Worth, Jacksonville, Austin, and Columbus.
