  4. The apartment building closest to 315 at Founders Park is up to four floors on the elevator shafts. I was southbound on 315, but it appeared like this building is going to be right on top of the freeway, and a couple floors above.
  5. Additional renderings might give you a better idea. Westmont at The Lane: I don't like that site plan too much. They've added two unnecessary curb cuts. Technically there were three single family house driveway curb cuts on the left, a business curb cut on the right so we're losing two. However, I don't see why all entrances can't be off the side road instead of Lane. They did this with The Lane I. Oh well.
  6. From moments ago: Also a bonus panorama of the park they created by moving Canon Drive:
  7. It looks like their Gramercy project in New Albany grew up and married a Home2Suites or an Aloft. Do the commenters on CU work for Kaufman? "Stunning" and "unique" would be the last two words out of my mouth to describe this. Also, I get that Kaufman wants to keep a good rep, but sometimes you should just call it as it is. Your pandering remarks ring hollow. You're not working with the neighborhood to build something meaningful. All that stuff you list is exactly the same as every other development you have. Funny you didn't have to sell your original site plan on developer speak. The quality of the design and details sold themselves. It's as 17th State said. This is their last ditch effort to make anything out of this site. Incredibly sad what is happening to the Short North. The hottest neighborhood with arguably the hottest developer in mixed use was offered a stunning piece to almost finish the puzzle, and instead he's just throwing in the towel. Glad you guys "won" your battle. The Pizzuti project being shot down for the 12 story condos wasn't as bad, because the offices instead built are actually more dense, and the quality is top notch. This IBEW plan is neither more dense nor top notch quality.
  8. Yikes. You get what you ask for. High quality on this lot requires high density. You take away the density, and you get low quality like this. Pick your poison.
  9. Gravity 1.0 is still at 41% vacancy. Meanwhile, it appears River and Rich is 96% leased. What's going on?
  10. The Dispatch has a new rendering of Gravity 2.0 with the Scioto Peninsula buildings behind it. It says work on Gravity 2.0 starts today! https://www.dispatch.com/business/20200210/work-begins-on-second-phase-of-gravity-development-in-franklinton
  11. It's to remain parking lots for North Market until North Market Tower is complete. No plans for it yet, but the Chipotle lot was also owned by the same company, Hamilton Parker; so I wouldn't be surprised to see it sold to NRI.
  12. So we lose 34 residential units and 35,000sqft of office. Thanks, NIMBYs!
  13. Correct. The rest of the garage will be covered with a facade making it look like a warehouse. Hope it turns out solid!

  15. Facebook adding two buildings to New Albany data complex "The social media giant said Thursday that its New Albany data center is up and running, and that it plans to add two more buildings totaling nearly 1 million square feet. When complete, Facebook’s campus will have five buildings totaling 2.5 million square feet, the result of a total investment of $1 billion, said Bobby Hollis, director of global energy, environment and site selection for Facebook. “We look forward to continuing this strong partnership for many years to come,” Hollis said. The data center, which is south of Route 161 and east of Beech Road, will eventually employ more than 150, Facebook spokeswoman Melanie Rue said. It has about 50 now. ... The company recently gave $250,000 to New Albany for the city’s Rose Run stream corridor revitalization project, including construction of a 34-foot-long bridge and promenade that connects the New Albany-Plain Local School District campus on the north side of Dublin-Granville Road to the New Albany branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library to the south. Facebook also provided a $190,000 grant to the Licking Heights Local School District for the science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics curriculum, Reffle said." https://www.dispatch.com/business/20200206/facebook-adding-two-buildings-to-new-albany-data-complex
  16. Alaska Airlines started the Seattle flights March 7th. So they racked up 74,366 passengers on 600 flights (to and from for 300 days). That's 124 passengers on each Airbus A320 or 83% of capacity. Is this good?
  17. Are you asking why someone would want to live next to water?
  18. Thanks! I didn't make it north of Polaris Parkway. It is crazy the amount of development from South Old State to Africa Road in this corridor. The Google Maps satellite is seriously out of date. Would be nice to get an update this year.
