A sketch done by someone posted on Instagram. I imagine this is what a supertall would look like on Scioto Peninsula and the Millennial Tower lot.
  2. You found the North Bank Condos parking garage info for me when I seemingly searched everything I could think of to find the info so here you go:

The Kroger is no more urban than the Fresh Thyme in Worthington. It's not bad, but really should have been a mixed-use development with apartments over the Kroger and integrated parking. The Out of the Closet is also a horrific use of a prime spot. I know it was built when things were down, but we really should have held out another year or two for a great project. Good thing is, that building is ultra cheap, and I can't imagine it would be too costly or difficult to just tear it down and start over.
  5. Chase is building a new supertall HQ in NYC. Maybe they're in the mood for skyscrapers ? Pretty sure the original Capitol Tower was to house Bank One before they landed at Polaris with the 2,000,000 square foot McCoy Center.
  6. That appears to be 15 stories. This is really strange...

And consider if they did that today, less than one year later, we'd see another six+ projects that were not under construction for this video. Man, it's nearly a seamless transition between campus and the Short North. We're almost there!
  8. I imagine the agreement is 15 years so NRI isn't paying taxes on something with no return. Also, waiting on Columbia Gas to need more space is not the same as "this will never be built on."
  9. That can't be right. It's just grass. The garage isn't screened whatsoever and they don't use the space for anything other than a lawn. No way they don't build something there. Seems like a perfect spot for a hotel.
  10. Let's hope they maximize the residential here. We could really use more residents on Capitol Square. As of now most restaurants in the area are only open for lunch.
  11. Even with a $250,000 state grant DeHays is now seeking to divert 70% of his downtown projects' property taxes (already abated) to fund the market. He's asking the school board for a 30 year plan. It'll divert $187,356/year to fund the market for the first 15 years. Then after those original properties' abatements run out, the market will be getting $405,359/year from diverted school funding. "Without the market, the project won't happen." https://www.dispatch.com/news/20191011/trolley-barn-redevelopment-seeks-tax-subsidy
  12. I used it yesterday and just now this morning with no issue. Both Chrome on Windows, and Chrome on Android. You tried resetting your cache, and changing your DNS?

This person flew a drone over High Street from Lane Ave all the way to Buttles. It's over ten minutes long, but if you are interested in seeing what all has happened and is happening along the High Street corridor it doesn't get much better than this:

  18. With a 327 space garage, 151 units already produced, and *1.5 spaces per unit I'd put the third phase at 67 units. So we're probably looking at eight, possibly up to ten floors only. * I can't for the life of me find how many parking spaces the North Bank condos have for their 100 units. I just see each condo has one or two spaces so I used an average here.
  19. Germain Amphitheater 2.0? Looks pretty awesome!
  20. Worthington group wants city to buy Methodist property for a park "One of the most desired and contested development sites in central Ohio has again landed on the front burner. A Worthington group this week presented petitions signed by 1,000 residents asking the city to buy the 37-acre United Methodist Children’s Home property to develop into a park. Critics say the city needs new houses and can’t afford to build a park. The developer Lifestyle Communities is in contract to buy the property but is mum on its plans." https://www.dispatch.com/business/20191008/worthington-group-wants-city-to-buy-methodist-property-for-park
  21. Other than the Confluence Village plot I wouldn't build on any of the green space you have marked here. What is wrong with having park space along our rivers? Why must we have restaurants or shops lining something that rises and falls ~25 feet at times throughout a year? I love our natural river front. It's been fantastically done, and one day will stretch up the Olentangy to Ohio State and up the Scioto to Griggs Reservoir. Lined with parks, trails, and river put-ins is all it should be if you ask me. As far as the Boat House and its lot being developed; I don't see why that would require Confluence Park be "bulldozed". Revamp Confluence Park now that it can stretch further out into the confluence. Build a tower here on the existing plot with parking garage on the lower levels to protect against any possible flooding, with offices, hotel, event space, and residences on top. Seems pretty simple to me.
  22. The flights are substantially cheaper. $200+ round trip cheaper. Also, I was asking about the additional flights. Clearly we're well served to Florida.
  23. A question you may have an answer for. Why does Allegiant screw over Columbus and Cleveland? We only get flights to seven different Florida cities (Orlando not included), and then Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Savannah. Cleveland gets six Florida flights including Orlando, the three others Columbus gets, plus Nashville and Norfolk. Meanwhile, Cincinnati gets Phoenix, Vegas, LA, Austin, Denver, Puerto Rico, New Orleans, New York City, and Orlando in addition to everything Cleveland (minus Nashville) and Columbus get. What gives? Phoenix and Vegas would surely do superb out of Rickenbacker. I know Rickenbacker is crazy busy with cargo flights, and limited runways. Is this the reason? They are given a limited number of flights? ETA: I know of multiple people who have driven to Cincinnati or Ft. Wayne from Columbus just to get an Allegiant flight to Phoenix. Surely they can see that people do this right?
