South Euclid: Cedar Center
The temporary public art installation looks cheap and like crap. The plain fence would look better. It looks like trash stuck in the fence blowing in the wind.

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
I think it is pretty entertaining. Apparently so do many Americans, Canadians and Australians.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I can't believe what an issue this has become. I am laughing over it all. Kebab. Seriously? I thought this thread was about restaurant news and information. Maybe you guys can start a new thread titled: "I am offended over the explanation over the word kebab."

Newsflash - it's Cleveland Scene Magazine - a free publication, not the New York Times.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Seriously. Some people on here bitch just to bitch. How is explaining what a kebab is insulting? I think most people who didn't know what one was would find it helpful. And for those who did know what it was, I would assume it was included in the article for those that do not.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Ok - I guess that makes sense. I was reading wrong - thanks for clarifying.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
I think this is great news for E 4th and can't wait to check it out... but I don't see the positive spin people are putting on this for Gordon Square. I mean it is another store closing in an area that is supposed to be up and coming. This is the second store closing in that little strip - how can a new owner keep the same name? I guess I am missing something but am open to an explanation.

Cleveland: Food Trucks/Carts News & Discussion
I ate at Dim and Den Sum on Friday night outside of Flying Monkey. I got the Sweet and Sour Burrito or something. Personally, had I not been starving I would not have eaten it all. It was SO greasy, and the grease was dripping everywhere. Also, the chicken was overly salted (and greasy) and tasted exactly like canned chicken. I was very disappointed in it, but I was starving and had no food at home so I ate it. On a positive note, their fried green tomatoes were excellent.

Thinking about moving to Cleveland
Where do you live in Boston? I just moved to Cleveland this past October after living in Boston for the past 5.5 years. I live in Tremont and love it. It is really close to downtown and sits pretty evenly between the West and East sides. Send me a private message if you would like to discuss more.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
It is one bridge away from being downtown. No, it isn't public square, but yes, I would consider the Flats a neighborhood of downtown. Splitting hairs here. He almost died. I still can't believe the media is who you are angry with.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I agree - this guy got beaten within an inch of his life. I wouldn't come back downtown either, and I live in Cleveland. I can't believe the main thing you are taking away from this story is anger at the media. Seems selfish to me.

Cleveland: MOCA
I remember someone who works for WRL mentioned something awhile back that the design was going to have a triangle aspect to it, since it is going to be on "the triangle".

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
You are so annoying. I feel that no one can ever leave a comment without you running your mouth. I actually am quitting now because of your smart*ss mouth. So tired of it. No wonder, you are OLD, bitter, and alone.

Side note - has anyone else noticed how oregonlive.com is exactly the same layout as cleveland.com? Threw me off looking at the two.

Wadsworth, Ohio
I grew up here and couldn't wait to leave it. I had never seen a black person till I left the small (minded) town.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I had a friend in town from Boston a few weeks ago, and we went one night. We were unable to get a table, due to lack of reservations, but we sat at the bar and had a few of their smaller plates. Everything was delicious - we had the wings (extremely flavorful and seasoned), the stuffed dates (chocolate sweet, salty and spicy), the house made cheese (spreadable, rich and creamy) and the lamb ravioli (these were good but not remarkable). I look forward to going back for an entire meal this summer and hopefully dining on the roof deck. The spices and seasoning there do seem intense at times, but I almost feel that is the premise of the restaurant - combining different tastes that you wouldn't necessarily think of putting together but turn out wonderful.

Cleveland - single late 20s female/Where to live?
I moved from living in downtown Boston to Tremont and really enjoy it. I am living across the street from Lucky's cafe on Starkweather. I didn't have a car for the first three months here and was able to walk everywhere in the neighborhood. I was taking public transportation, sometimes late at night, and always felt safe. I am 30 years old and feel that demograph is well represented in Tremont. Also, it emulates a lot of the features that my neighborhood in Boston had - shops, restaurants, a library, parks, etc...

Boston, MA Oct 2009
I just moved to Cleveland in August after living in Boston for the previous five years. I lived in the South End and Fenway at different points in my time there, but loved spending weekend afternoons in Harvard Square and nights out in Central. I worked downtown by the Macy's at 33 Arch Street (blue glass, bow-sided building). The pictures make me miss such an architecturally beautiful city, but I am also glad to be back in Ohio where my roots are :)

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
Boston is definitely an outdoors city - beaches, hiking, camping, biking, boating, kayaking.... I think anyone who has lived there (myself included) would support that it belongs on the list.
