Clevelanders, I need your input
^^I was googling something yesterday and came across some odd forum where a Cleveland relocation question had been posed. There were about ten responses to the question "where should I live." Some of them were: Elyria is a great choice. Don't touch Cuyahoga county. Bay Village is the only place to live. etc. Because my wife is in the field, I come across a lot of medical residents who are moving to Cleveland to work at UH, CC or Metro. These hospitals do a super poor jobs introducing the new residents to the City. I see a big opportunity to work with thesee types of institutions on relocation advice. Maybe Oompa's idea could be merged with KJP's mini project?

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
I remember KJP reporting that Marous had options on some propery to the immediate east of Battery Park. I wonder how much... If those light industrial buildings could move to another part of the City, then Battery Park could very much become a part of the W.65th area.

ahh, just do another pedestrian tunnel. I hear that there's precedent for one in the area.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
^yeah, but the Vine Industrials have been listed for about two years now and nothings going on with them. I see the Landmarks move as a good sign that this might be breaking ground soon. Now that I've lived in Ohio City for about 18 months, its pretty easy to see the progress. I think that impressions can be misleading when you drive in from out of the area for a dinner and drinks and then head home. There is a lot of low income housing in the area. Slowly, its gentrifying. I'll talk about this more later..

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I see that the Detroit-Superior Lofts project is going to Landmarks this week. That would be a significant boost for that portion of Ohio City.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Especially considering that he's going to have to play against two very hard-hitting defenses during the next two weeks. Still, I love watching that guy play football.

Apartment/house rental websites in Cleveland Heights
Hey guys, my sis in law is looking for a place in the Heights. She'd really like to rent a unit in a house, but would settle for a traditional apartment. Besides plugged in cleveland and craigslist, do you know of any good websites that list rentals in CH?

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
What are the other failed county projects that you speak of? I do think that two of the three commissioners seriously dropped the ball on this one. However, the reason is mainly that medical mart was not on the horizon when they were developing the new HQ plans. If they would go ahead with both the MM and the HQ, the county bond rating would be so bad that we'd be paying ridiculous interest rates that would not be sustainable. In that sense, I'm very glad that they are back-burnering the HQ project. MM is much more important.

The best part of that story is that the buried tank was actually a railroad tanker car. They had to dig out the entire railroad car before proceeding. They used it to store the fuel for heating the building.

Could Cincinnati/Dayton be in line for an NBA team?

Great! Thanks for the news.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
I find it odd that people would disagree with you. Especially in a market where there is stock waiting to be sold, most people in Cleveland want to buy something that they can touch (imo).

65 is the total number of units sold for both the townhomes and the lofts.

That's awesome! Particularly as your last estimate was 50 at the beginning of October. Moving fast! It would be great. I just hope my source is correct.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I'm pretty certain that there will be convenient short-term parking for the grocery store. I wonder if they will deliver groceries.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
I heard from a fairly reliable source that the pre-sales are up to 65.

Unless you have to sell a home to buy a new one, now is a great time to be in the buyers market, assuming you can get financing. but maybe he or she has to sell a house first before being able to purchase another.

Have they started any work on the second set of townhomes?

Is Florida Over? Florida's Loss Could Be Ohio's Gain
I used to live in Nashville and Memphis. There is no state nor municipal income tax. Sales tax is about 10% and I don't think that it can go any higher per their constitution.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Maybe they are closed on Halloween?? I saw them doing some exterior painting on Tuesday. I wouldn't think that put money into the place just before closing.

I don't think that they actually think that. Its propaganda and its helping them sell units (and it'll make the area much nicer).
