Cleveland: Stonebridge Phase 5
Great news. I'm sure that they'll do well. And I love the focus of the establishment. So is this lady combining two separate condos into 1? I'd love to see the place.

I am not sure how much the Moreland theater restoration makes sense. If it is used as a theater, it will probably not succeed due to the competition from Shaker Square and Cedar Lee. For some reason, I think that I heard that it won't be used for cinematic purposes.

What if?... Scranton Peninsula. Ideas welcome.
Seems like it would make a great location for a Battery Park-like project.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
The offensive line protection was awesome yesterday. They are really coming along (and Tucker hasn't even played a down yet). I am amazed that we didn't allow any sacks against the Ravens defense.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I have no clue, the stats don't break things down by class. On the anecdotal side, i know of a guy whose son went to college in Arizona. When he came home to his apartment after class one night, a few masked guys forced him into their van. After a spree to a few ATMs, they almost killed the kid. They told him not to tell the cops or else they'd greet him again some evening at home. The kid has since moved back to Cleveland. When the guy (dad) asked the cops about what happened, the cops said that the organized crime is growing like crazy and they know that they have no prayer against them.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
^Are really that cynical? Do you think its a bad idea to get more cops on the streets? I continue to hear rave reviews of the mayor from people who work with him. Many of these people supported Campbell in the last election. Just because he doesn't give the greatest sound bites doesn't mean he's not doing a good job. Have patience, his plans will bear fruit in the future.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Yes, but its only part of the picture. Many of the wealthier southern cities are seeing upticks in murders due to an increase in organized crime. Organized crime is busy setting up shop and making heavy investments in the "future". They go where the money goes.

I heard some interesting stats today: So far, Baltimore has 300 homicides in 2007 (about 600,000 residents) and Detroit has 400 homicides (with about double Cleveland's population).

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
I also agree about the scale. The townhomes feel very out of place. Thank God they are selling well.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Surprised that it was sold so well or surprised that it hasn't sold more? Or are you talking about something other than the Avenue District (there are no occupancy rates yet because it hasn't been built yet)?
