I've always considered duplexes to be rentals. The developer describes them as for-sale rowhouses (though they aren't really designed as of yet).

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
The Clinton Courts project in the OC has been posted on PURE's website. Check it out: www.progressiveurban.com I also found out that two townhomes will be built just across the street (next winter) from this 5-unit development. Things continue to look good for Clinton Ave.

I had heard that there were some expensive roor repairs that led to the assessment.

Cleveland: University Hospitals Expansion (University Circle)
Has anyone seen the pictures of the new cancer center? Litt, while he normally takes a stronger stance, is really going light on UH. It is horrible. Litt actually lauds the Taussig Cancer Center design. If that's a good design, then that should really tell you how bad UH's new center is. Absolutely horrible. The worst thing is that its right on Euclid Ave in the heart of UC.

Summer Olympics 2016
^I saw an article that said that Chicago would build a "temporary" olympic stadium if it is selected. How does one build a "temporary olympic stadium"?

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
UrbanClevelanders, help me out with some suggestions please. My in-laws are in town to see my child again and we need a place to eat tonight. A pub was suggested. Does anyone have some good suggestions for non-pricey places in Tremont that serve alcohol? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of the Treehouse. Are there any places that have good views of the city or are unique in some way?

^Maybe there should be a different thread for all those non-urban cleveland articles. I admit, they really annoy me each time I have to scroll through all that stuff.

Cleveland housing tax abatement
I've been thinking about that a lot lately. Stonebridge's impact is really insulated. Imagine if those buildings (ok, you can change the architecture) were dropped into the WHD.

Cleveland housing tax abatement
It won't be 7 years. The least it will be is 10 (from a very reliable source).

Cleveland housing tax abatement
I think that the tiered plan is a good idea. My abatement just ran out (my home was renovated in 1997) and now $200 has been added to my monthly payment. I can see how some people may want to flee their homes in anticipation of their abatement running out. If its tiered, its a much easier pill to swallow.

I did see KJP and some RTA personnel working underneath those exit ramps to weaken the structures. God Bless the mass transit manifesto!

Hopefully, Smith will be left alone for the most part. He seems very capable. I do know that Warren is very highly regarded in Cleveland.

Cleveland housing tax abatement
Then how would you explain the reference to two-family homes?
-
Cleveland housing tax abatement
Am I understanding this correctly? He's proposed that there be no abatement for projects such as Stonebridge and The Avenue District. He only wants abatement for single family and duplexes?
