How has he been playing recently? I know that he has beaten us up over the years, but is there still much left in the tank?

Why would you think that they have a great case? I'm guessing that they are doing all this work just to try to scare Wolstein into settling at a much higher rate.

Relocating to Cleveland: some advice, please?
Sosan is a pretty active developer in the area and he seems to be a trustworthy guy. Honestly, though, I think that you could find very very similar spaces in areas that are a bit safer and livier. I also wouldn't consider this area Tremont. Sosan also did the the Detroit Lofts (which are beautiful). I'd also recommend looking at this site: http://www.clv-lofts.com/ (the landlord is top notch) Federal Knitting Mills is a pretty cool building and is just across the bridge from downtown. Merrell and Metzner are right in the heart of Ohio City and you'd be very close to the rapid station with a train that would take you straight to Case. If you aren't familiar, Ohio City is a very fun urban neighborhood.

I bet that the library category really bumped up the Ohio scores.

Lakewood: Development and News
At least put the parking behind the building and connect the loft build to the park. This would open up some great outdoor cafe opportunities that don't currently exist in Lakewood.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Or he completely ripped it off of Detroit's Legendary Baseball Broadcaster, Ernie Harwell, who originated the phrase, "straight down woodward" (when referring to a pitch thrown) (Ernie also adapted the phrase for whichever city he was in, i.e. right down addison, broadway, euclid, etc) Remember McLeod spent the last years of his life in Detroit covering sports. McLeod drives me right up a wall.

They need to build something in urban Cleveland before I'll consider them to be Cleveland's premiere urban builder. ;)

ODOT Policy Discussion
what a disappointing article. I am eager to see KJP's response. After I glean a few pointers from him, I'll send my own letter off to O'Brien.

I know. Sometimes developer websites are so mesmerizing that they make you want to buy buy buy. I was just about to put a deposit down on three units until I snapped out of it.

But why wouldn't they put develop their website more? They aren't making it easier for themselves by just having a lady pass out informational sheets once a week.

Cleveland: Marketing the City
And the Clinic will be adding a third hotel soon. The developer would like to break ground sometime in the fall for an extended stay hotel that would be located on Chester around E.93rd. My feeling is that this fall is a bit too soon for the developer to get everything together.

The Jay Lofts website is finally up. They make two interesting claims: 1. Jay Lofts is located in Ohio City, Ohio. 2. the grand opening is set for May 2007. 1. I was not aware that we (OC) had seceded from Cleveland. 2. They are going to have to work awfully fast to open anything by May 2007.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Interesting. Many of the current rapid stops between W.65th and W.140th are located very close to the highway. I don't see how putting the redline in the middle of I-90 would have improved rapid access.

Which is it? You diss Cleveland for not putting rail on I-90, but then later say that it would not be a good idea. I'm confused.

Lakewood: Development and News
What the hell! How is Lakewood's planning department allowing this to happen? Why so much parking? Why is the loft building set so far back? This is ridiculous.

Put In Bay Rental Advice
Here is where I'll be staying for a week in August: http://www.kelleysisland.com/zettlers/ I loved it when my out of state in-laws suggested that we all vacation in the Lake Erie islands this summer. We chose Kelley's because its large, has a lot of nature, and has a winery/microbrewery, and some decent recreational activity. Also, we love the old lakefront cottages!
