  1. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That building is very close to the market and I'd love to see that storefront filled up.
  2. Smart move. They can capture all the vendors as clients. NCB doesn't have an OC presence and I'm sure vendors don't like carrying all the cash to the bank everyday.
  3. JDD, do you have a link for the website?
  4. I would think that most of the crime in the 3rd district is in its southeast section. I trust Frank on this one. Hey, we have one great rehab opportunity.
  5. I've seen the workers at this site. I think its a horrible site for townhomes. The topography calls for larger detached homes, imho.
  6. Nimby nimby nimby!
  7. You're so negative. I think that this signage will drawn in tourists from around the world. Bilbao effect--yep, right here in Cleveland. I actually think we'll see protests when the project is over and Zaremba removes the signage.
  8. ^low key or maybe its that no one really cares. Target is moving down the street and will be an anchor tenant. Retail-wise, Steelyard is grabbing all the attention lately.
  9. Another great article. I really like hearing that Marous owns options on adjacent properties.
  10. I'm not sure how many units that Statler has, but there should be close to 400-500 units of housing on this section of Euclid. With that sort of density, you should be able to find some nice neighborhood retail for the storefronts.

a dance club that augments the gunshots on a street is not a nice thing.
  16. Most homes will be somewhat obsolete in 30 years (unless they were built before WWII--those homes rock!). My home was built in 1870 and renovated in the late 90s and early 00s. Its abatement runs out this year. In a way, I'm glad to be paying taxes towards the city schools. I know most don't feel that way.
  17. 30 years is way too long, imho. I like the status quo. In five years, the momentum may be such that we can tweak it. I say let's allow Stark, Wolstein and Zaremba get their projects up and running. If they are successful, their products will be the draw and we won't have to rely so much on tax abatement to pull in more people to the city.
  18. re: Chester It has to be the Clinic and their parking needs. Why else would they take down all the trees along with the building?
  19. Just a little update on the Heritage Lane project: Tesco was the contractor. Due to its financial difficulties, it will no longer be doing the project. (Tesco is re-organizing, but is not going into bankruptcy). Two new contractors are vying to complete the project.
  20. ^I've heard that they'd like to have it ready by the end of 08 (end of ECTP construction).
  21. But the first two floors of Higbees is being renovated for a different use at the moment.
