  1. I went to a meeting for this last summer. Some Lake Ave people showed up and said that the entire project was stupid just because of its impact on their portion of Lake. Of course this is to be expected, but I certainly hope that ODOT doesn't feel that these people are in the majority.

    ^that's a great photo.
  3. but Scaravelli's plan included all the FCE land. He tried to get them to sell it to him. Ferchill's project is going to have a public meeting within the next two weeks. I think his project will be very interesting to watch. It is very isolated from other housing (although close to Tremont) and surrounded by gravel piles on many sides. If he can sell 80 units down there, then future housing developments would be sure to follow.
  4. The last Ohio City townhome has sold (or at least its pending). The developer is planning on building at least two more on Clinton (he'll break ground after he pre-sells one of the two). As a new homeowner on this street, its great to see a development of $500k townhomes sell out.
  5. I thought that Scaravelli never really owned any land down there.

Oh, let's just build it in lake erie, put on a glass roof and voila..we've got a convention center and an aquarium.
  7. Lakewood probably doesn't care about the aesthetics 117th. I'm sure their thought process goes like this: put as much retail as possible on the strip in order to get all the Cleveland dollars that they can. Its a tax policy. Sucks. Either they don't understand TOD or they just don't believe that the market would make that site viable for anything but crappy retail projects.
  8. Not only did they take down the building, they also cut down a great number of trees on the site. This building had a very pretty-looking chapel building attached to it. I am very disappointed that this was taken down. At least they could have left the trees and not have created such a huge gaping hole on Chester.
  9. ^I think that Pope's referring to a different plan. Remember how it was publicized that Gilbert had approached the city with an idea to upgrade the Q and the surrounding area?
  10. Sorry X. Ok, how about the new 75-story Microsoft Tower? (with no tax abatement!)
  11. ^last we heard, they had unexpectedly discovered some asbestos and had to deal with that issue. They were supposed to keep moving, but it doesn't appear that anything has happned. The first phase of A Place for Us is slowing going forward. They have been renovating the storefront structure at Detroit and 26th for the past few months. Half of the facade is finished and looks much better than before. From the looks of the guys who are working on, it appears that they've hired someone's uncle and neighbor to work on the project.
  12. Maybe it'll be a Dollar Store Outlet?!
  13. I'd go for some big office news over some big residential news at this point.

if you do that then you lose the most useful option (show unread posts) on this forum.
  17. ^I think that this is the one building on the street that MRN doesn't own. I wouldn't mind if this street was completely entertainment. If that were so, I'd like to see a lot of neighborhood retail on Euclid and Prospect to help the housing market. That said, I heard that there is only one residential vacancy on the entire street.
  18. E.4th needs a bodega and a diner

  22. I believe that Marc said goodbye in the last Hotel Bruce. He works for EcoCity Cleveland and GCBL is his job.
  23. That was 13 years ago, though. I would think that ESPN wouldn't relay on data that is that stale.
