  1. Saw some people bowling on their lunch hour today.
  2. Does anyone know anything about Heartland's Wellington project in Detroit-Shoreway? I know that its a condo project, but I haven't seen or heard anything else about it.
  3. ^its being used all over the place. I just finished writing up a grant to get some of that money for a public art piece that we are working on for the Buckeye neighborhood.

  5. Actually, I wouldn't say completely 'green'. There is a good chance that they would have some green elements to them.

Do you hate me?--my wife, son and I live in a 3000 sq ft home in Ohio City.
  7. ^are you confusing DCP with DCA?
  8. I've heard that the Hazel Drive townhomes (between WRHS and the Gestalt Institute on Hazel Dr.) have had some extremely strong preliminary interest.
  9. Cooperstown was such a generic place. I 'd love to see something unique go in that space. Realistically, its pretty isolated and needs to be surrounded by some density before it could turn into something. I wonder if it would do better if the Tribe won more games.
  10. Also, the sidewalks in downtown are all supposed to be the same style of brick that is currently in front of the Ohio, State and Palace theaters.
  11. French fries is very Peruvian. I would categorize this place as a very typical Peruvian place. I lived in Peru for 2 1/4 years and they like to mix in papas fritas whenever they can. Peru has over 300 types of potatoes. La papa rellena is the best thing on the menu and perhaps the most unique as well. I hope your service was decent. When I went there, we had the worst server that I've come across in this city. Otherwise, the place best serves to stir up the fond memories that I have for the place. Peru has three distinct cultures: the coastal desert, the mountain region and the rain forest. This place really mixes the coastal and the mountain. Its kind of like going to an American restaurant that aims to mix NY and Texas on the same menu.
  12. ^also, they are not installing any of the fixtures until the entire stretch is nearing completion.

I think that Chris Maag wrote it. He's a very successful free-lance writer who lives near West Blvd & Clifton. I think he does a lot of work for Time and NYT.

    homogeneous? How so?
  15. They are now (i believe) also working on a facade on the Detroit Ave side. They have constructed some sort of wooden shelter around one of storefront windows. They had also done this on the W. 26th side.
  16. No, there is no nerve to strike. If someone has something new to add, I like to hear about it. I don't think you'd call someone an idiot unless you have good reason to do so. That's disappointing that the Cloak Factory was done on the cheap. From what I've heard about the Pinnacle, it was done well. Did you hear or see otherwise?

I'm disappointed that he's going to run for president. He has no chance of winning. Dennis, take care of Cleveland before you start worrying about the rest of the country.
  18. ^i was getting the feeling that it was Tesco's difficulty with other projects that lead to its demise.
  19. "A tarblooder was a railroad worker whose job was to smear hot tar on railroad ties after they were laid to seal them and hold them in place. It was difficult work to say the least. The mixture of tar, dirt (and most certainly the occasional real blood) and sweat pouring off of these men gave the impression of blood."
  20. hmm.. maybe in Shaia's location. ;)
  21. I don't have up to the minute information, but I had always heard that B&N had signed on to do a two-story bookstore at the the corner of Euclid & Ford.
