  1. MGD, I know what you're talking about. I think that the lady was operating under the influence of some close-minded emotion. The vast majority of shipping already takes place on the west bank. I don't think that the additional truck traffic would be that bad. (the lady had the old whiskey island blinders on).
  2. I've decided to open up my own little mini-mart in Ohio City. I'm gonna call it the Style Lounge of Premium Chips and Pop. Its a lifestyle that I'll be selling.
  3. No, it wasn't Hauser. He was too busy peeing himself silly from the inner belt news.

I saw them this morning (as I was taking the cat to the animal hospital at 3am). They looked cool. A true suburban-style sign would look so out of place in that location.
  5. ^we need some basic psychiatric screening to be done before anyone can ask a question. They should go to some sort of written question format and have the urban students pick out the best questions.
  6. ^after months in the desert, even sewer water would taste sweet.

I don't care for flattening the curve. That throws away too much money. I'd rather take that money and spend it on a single new southerly bridge. I'd love to see the trenches walled up, though. Otherwise, what a big preliminary win for the city.
  8. some basic thoughts on yesterday's presentation: Stark should give pregame speeches for football teams. He's one hell of a speaker. He really bristled at the port relocation question. The airport terminal thing really seemed out of place. He didn't hint at all about any start date. I still feel that this is a long way away. Cimperman is a great speaker. Sure makes you hopeful that something will happen, though.

Glorious. I've always looked for ways to support big box retail without having to travel so far from my house.
  10. ^Sounds like you're a Christmas Ale evangelizer. Let me be your apostle.
  11. This whole thread has had me thinking about Xmas ale a lot over the past few days. I tried to order one last night at the OC wine bar (I already ordered one glass of wine). The server gave me the dirtiest look.
  12. ^you'll have to mail order your cigs from some corner deli in Ohio City. We're counting on you! I'll be going over to see the presentation tonight. Its nice to work across the street from Levin.
  13. ^agreed. The second last massing had me wondering. I also didn't like the huge steps that rise up from the sidewalk. I thought we wanted to get away from that style?
  14. It would be nice if they could move it to North Coast Harbor. I know its not the greatest tourist attraction, but its still pretty cool. At the very least, it would provide another interesting to see at NCH. At the current location, who really knows about it?
  15. Um, as if the current use demands such a high value!? Put something on the first floor and then you can start arguing that the easement is worth more.
  16. Would this be a theater and nothing else? Where is CSU's current theater? Would this project fill a current university need? Would this hurt or help Playhouse Square?
  17. yeah, i must admit that I really like the conceptual drawings. I would say that it seems a bit large--stretching from the law building all the way to the next interesection with Euclid. I think that would be too big.
  18. ^The new parking garage at CSU (overlooking the innerbelt) is not that bad. Actually, I really like the parking garage just to the north of the Levin College. I wonder if its the same architect.
  19. Any word on when construction would begin on the garage? Am I correct in thinking that this will replace a giant surface lot?
  20. ^in that last image, it sure looks like they moved Fenn Tower and plopped it down on top of Levin College. I look forward to hearing more about this. (I could deal with losing Corlett.)
  21. That staircase is badass. That house doesn't look like it's worth 305k though... It doesn't surprise that it would go for so much. In Rocky River, you can a little house for a lot of money.
  22. All of Great Lakes' beers are stronger than normal. Have you tried Nosferatu?
  23. I love Hampshire Rd in Cleveland Hts at it intersects with Coventry.
  24. ^I've wondering where you were. Sorry to hear about your cat. Good luck on kicking the habit!

    ^Hamtramck is its own city?
