Sarge, There are big plans for the Stonebridge development. On Thursday at 4pm on the Viaduct, the developers are going to announce a grand plan for the west bank of the flats.

I think its the corner building.

^usually they try to have the penthouse set back so that you can't really see it from the street. Just about every conversion in CLE has done this. But glass would really keep this penthouse from fading into the background. Would it be built up to the building's edge or set back to provide space for a roof top deck like everyone else does? Again, thanks for the news!

^I'd take about 20,000 more of those types of poor people--as long as you also provide a nice collegiate gothic campus and a top-tier DI football and basketball program. ;)
  6. We haven't heard much. Heartland's site has not seen any work. The Euclid Block has also been silent.
  7. According to some of the brightest economic minds in the state, buying American isn't really that effective anymore. Many Hondas are built in Ohio with more US-made parts than Ford uses for its cars.
  8. I'm glad to hear that they are implementing some fresh strategies. I also like that Eugene made that appearance at East HS last week after the fight.

Peabody?? Sarge, you might want to talk to Peabody. She is a Stonebridge resident.
  10. I love Mitchell's Edmund Fitzgerald ice cream. I believe that they only sell it at Great Lakes Brewery.

Great news! Where did you find the info?
  12. I was wondering about that. But I tried to look to see if anything thing there was any new studs or drywall added, but I couldn't really figure that out. Anyways, E.4 will feel very different in 8 months.
  13. From the 9/12/06 Toledo Blade: Blueprint for Perrysburg, township zoning revised Perrysburg, township need to OK retail expansion A realty and development company needs approval from the city of Perrysburg and Perrysburg Township to begin additional construction in a shopping plaza on U.S. 20. The township's zoning commission held an informal site plan review yesterday for Phase III of Perrysburg Plaza at Fremont Pike and Thompson Road, which is being developed by First Commercial Realty & Development. Though the large shopping center, home to Lowe's and Kohl's, is in the township, the city has the right to a site plan review because it will provide water and sewer service. Rob Black, chairman of the township zoning commission, said the city will review the site plan first, giving the township final approval. 15. I find it odd that the 326 has such a high passenger total. It doesn't come as frequently as the other buses.
  16. Ah, you expected me to read it?!!? ;) Actually, just about all of the townhomes with rooftop decks include the rooftop deck in the visual floorplan layout. The casual observer might not realize that such an amenity exists unless its drawn out for him/her. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I suggest you market for the lowest common denominator (like myself) or else you may lose some potentially interested parties due to an oversight.
  17. In looking at the townhome floorplans, I am sort of surprised that they do not have rooftop decks. To me, that is one of the coolest things about many of the townhomes that are going up in the city. Before I bought my 136-yr old home, I had strongly considered buying a new and modern townhome because of the cool rooftop decks.
  18. Some updates from stroll at lunchtime: Lola--it appears to be all ready. The only people that I could see in the place were wearing chef hats and were cooking. Set the tables, take down the brown window paper and open the place up! Bowling for Martinis--work continues. drywall going up, h/ac vents and electrical work being done. Woolworth on 4th--site of one of the new restaurants. It appears that construction work has begun. but, just barely. Except for the Sincere Building's first floor, the old Cafe 56 storefront and the old jewelry store that isn't owned by Maron, there is work going on in every vacant space. This is includes spaces that allegedly don't have tenants yet.
  19. Thanks StrangeBrew!! I like the combination of glass and brick--a 'best of both worlds' building. I also like the rounded entrance and how the building and Superior curve together.

I am starting to think that NPI ought to downgrade from 6 'neighborhoods of choice' to 3. (Now if they actually do that, I might be out of a job!). I would like to see a more concentrated effort to re-establish some key neighborhoods. Specifically, I would like to see a greater subsidization of the rehabbing of homes. I should flesh out my thoughts a bit more. but i should also get some work done..

I agree with the NFL that its not a flagrant foul. If he lead with his head, then it would have to be a penalty. This has nothing to do with the push. It still appears that the push had little effect on the defensive player's momentum. I think that it was a particularly vicious hit, but that it was not meant to do the damage that it did.

They are already putting in glass on the lower floors.
  24. That's nice. These rankings can be odd. "Cleveland Metropolitan Orchestra"?? And the whole thing about percentage of parkland? If that excludes the metroparks and the national park (which I'm sure it does), then we have a much better park system than the rankings show.

I believe that waterfront and center are already built. One is the office building and the other is the first phases of the SB.
