  1. I thought that the article would focus on the Browns Backers. They are probably the number one reason to support a claim that the Browns have the most loyal fans. The Browns Backers are the largest ex-pat fan group in the NFL. With 252 chapters throughout the world and over 48,000 members.

^I'm an Ohio City guy. But you really have to hit the pavement, check out the available housing stock and see what's best for you. There are amenities that go with each location. I prefer living near a supermarket, and GLBC. But its an individual thing.
  3. ^I am still not sure where personal attacks have a place in this discussion.

the first picture looks like some masked villain.
  6. Where the hell do you come off with that? Look, I wish that this had happened in a much better fashion, but its ridiculous to make worthless comments like that.
  7. Why not in Cleveland!?! :)
  8. Not sure either. The real question may center around her mental capacity ;)
  9. well, the Port Authority has already began the process. Also, you can always file for an injunction to stop an action.
  10. there are just so, so, so white.

The Clifton area of Cleveland is pretty much a replica of Lakewood. The only difference is that the schools are worse and you get more for your money for the exact same housing stock. Additionally, you are closer to Edgewater Park.
  12. Am I crazy to think that the H&Ms of the world will not locate in downtown Cleveland unless a few other similar style retailers do so as well? Hopefully Stark will implement that strategy. (If so, I can see some more flight from Tower City.)

Then there are situations like mine. I've got a decent sized backyard and a huge sideyard in Ohio City.

Oh, we're very happy to have you back! Two of my closest friends in Cleveland moved back to Cleveland from NYC last year. I myself also moved back from the south after 10 years in exile.

If the older home has been significantly renovated, it can receive a significant tax abatement. I don't remember exactly, but it might be about 50% for 10 years. I kind of like this one: http://pure.progressiveurban.com/propview.php?view=1604

FYI All new construction within the city of Cleveland receives a 15yr property tax abatement. This can really bring some expensive properties within reach. Before buying in Ohio City, I had considered a property that was about $30,000 above my price range. With the abatement, the monthly mortgage payment would be about $300 less than it would have been without tax abatement. Its something to consider.

There are a lot of people here who can give you some great advice if you tell us more about your lifestyle: active nightlife or casual bars? kids? how much backyard space is sufficient?

Shaker Square-- its as convenient as you could imagine. Ohio City-depending on where you live, it can either be very close or a little bit of a hike. Tremont--not very convenient Cleveland Hts--its very convenient if you live on the western edge of CHeights. Very convenient from Little Italy. I live in Ohio City, but very close to Detroit and W.38th. When I take RTA to work, I take the bus.
  19. With four local stores, H & M is losing its uniqueness. Why go downtown when you could get it in your own suburb?
  20. Since when did the indigenous Peruvians go grunge? ;)
  21. One of my favorite parts to Beale St. in Memphis is that there is a nice diner amongst all the bars. Sometimes you just need to sit in a quiet place and eat some french fries when out for a night on the town. I would highly doubt that Maron doesn't understand this. Another thought: the first floor of the Sincere Building has soo many columns. I think that many prospective tenants balk at that space due to its limitations. On the other hand, it enjoys great visibility.
  22. I'd say that a night club would do better on E.4th that it would on Prospect (View). View is little visibility (on the second floor) and it doesn't benefit from the traffic the Pickwick and the HOB generates.
  23. Wow, that would be huge news. That space is very large and fill up the entire eastern side of E.4 except for the Sincere Building space. Thanks for the info!
  24. I think that Litt is pretty fair in his assessment.
  25. What is the purpose of the Sept. 21st meet? I'm glad to hear that things are moving along. Everything still seems very preliminary.
