Cleveland's Hulett iron ore unloaders
From what I know, Zone is a pretty good councilman. While I would trust his judgment, I wish that the PD would publish some of the numbers that make this cost prohibitive.

Trying to Make A Decent Living
Interesting... The janitors union of the Cleveland Public School system has a stronger voice than the teacher's union. Many complain, including past mayors, that the janitors' union has kept the school system from making many positive reforms.

^yes. That is the Carpetbag Brigade out of Oakland, CA. They will also be performing at Fairview Park in Ohio City at 8pm on Wednesday as part of that park's grand reopening. Also coming to Fairview Park this summer: *two outdoor movies *block club kickball *and more fun-filled activities for the entire family!

Cleveland Eateries: A Where To Guide for Visitors and Residents
^The owner of Dolce Vita also owns the Mayfield. Simply put, he just doesn't want to do anything with it. Other groups would love to see something happen there, but this guy is in his own little world.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I believe that there will be a push to at least eliminate some lanes from the square. One of the biggest problems will be working through the federal guidelines. The same headaches that elongated the Detroit-Superior bikeway project are in effect for Public Square. This project would take a lot of creative thinking and a lot of persuasive talking to the different stakeholders. Before we start to put pencil to paper, we should think about the roles that we want our two large public spaces (Malls and PS) to play in the development of downtown.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
With all the noise that the current tenants bring to the street, I am very curious as to who the new ones will be. It would difficult to sleep with the Corney Alley, Pickwick and HOB all just beneath your bedroom window. I know of one long lost forumer who is leaving downtown because of the late-night revelers. (She's going over to the OC)

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Great to hear the Case has another 1200-student freshpeople class coming in next year. That equals 800 more bodies on campus than they had just two years ago.

Gay pride flag at City Hall; Greater Cleveland not supportive
^I echo the comments above. I think that the Slovenian flag was flying over City Hall last week for some sort of Slovenian event.

Cleveland Eateries: A Where To Guide for Visitors and Residents
Good question. I don't think so. There used to be a restaurant called Top of the Town that was on the top of the Erieview Building (am I correct??), but it closed down. There is a place called Pier W that is located in the Gold Coast in Lakewood next to the Winton Place. While it is not on top of a tall building, it does provide great views of the lake and downtown.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
GM and Ford are totally strapped with all the costs that are associated with their retired workers. Honda hasn't been around as long in the US and therefore doesn't have all these pensions to pay. It makes all the difference.

geez, aren't we being a little harsh based upon the fact that the designs that we have seen are only massings? Additionally, since when has brick become the architectural anti-christ?
