  1. WarrenF, How can you get our opinion if you won't tell us what sport the team will be playing?
  2. ^it was an effort to stabilize the structure before any further damage was done to it. There is nothing going on iwth the Jay currently.
  3. Good for Case! Although 41st is the best Ohio has done? In the liberal arts category, Oberlin and Kenyon are ranked much higher than 41st.
  4. The new office building sure looks quite suburban in its layout, but I love that it will be next to a rapid stop.
  5. Let's get back on topic.
  6. From a Chicago resident that I know: i have to say, i have been to a bunch of markets like the west side market now-- in san francisco, philadelphia, baltimore, los angeles, even chicago has a 'french' market now...and the west side market outclasses them all. the two in philly and baltimore are just kinda dingy and suspect. kinda like big garages. the ones in sf and la and the new chicago one are almost too mall-like--too perfect and commercial. cleveland's manages to be authentic but not dirty, beautiful inside but still affordable and with interesting ethnic fare. in conclusion, i agree with alton.
  7. Stanzi went to Lake Catholic in Mentor.
  8. ^did you know that Mayor Jackson's grandfather was the guy who selected this location for CMHA? ;)
  9. ^It would be possible to prep the space under the MM for expansion, but it would come at a significant cost that is not within the current budget.
  10. You're confusing two different issues. The suspended cables were not a solution to the entrance issue.
  11. I like the idea. It creates a destination that will draw people in.
  12. ^I took my 5-yr old son last weekend and he loved it. The energy created by the people waiting in lines was cool.

As long as you don't leave a laptop on the front seat, Clinton Ave is safe for parking. I've had a car out on the street on Clinton for 4 years and it has never been touched.

He's had a negative impact on each of the last 2 or 3 teams that he's played for. I'm surprised he's getting this much attention.

We are such a diverse state. When I left Cleveland for college in Gambier, OH, I felt like I was in a different country.

Eastside suburb unfortunately but its good for cleveland as you won't be vacating a space in OC, Tremont, etc.

    where do you live now?
  19. I thought that the Tow Path was to end in Canal Basin Park on the east bank of the Flats. The Lake Link Trail would end in Wendy Park.
  20. It is an extremely popular and successful boutique in Tremont. I'm surprised that you've never heard of it.
  21. they are aiming to have it open by the end of the year
  22. ^no. From what I've heard and can't share, it will be a nice addition to downtown. (and it won't be generic)
  23. ^with 668 selling out so immediately, it provides some serious momentum for Euclid Ave. Schofield will be a great success. There are a lot of very positive developments in downtown, OC, Tremont, and University Circle.
  24. There are a lot of opportunities out there. There are many Ohio businesses who are ahead of the curve who are looking to capitalize on wind technology, medical device manufacturing, etc. To say that we need to kick manufacturing aside is equivalent to looking to People Magazine for economic development advice for the next 20 years. Be smart and don't listen to shallow Forbes-esque advice for how to formulate our ED strategies.
  25. ^honestly, this is pretty stale news. If anything, there has been a slight uptick in manufacturing in NE Ohio recently. Of course we need to diversify, but thhe broad brush strokes ignore the opportunities that are there.
