Would that also mean that the Haslam's are no longer interested in developing that land around FES?

Cleveland: Cleveland Clinic News & Info
I'm curious about #314 Lutheran Health Network - Lutheran Hospital Cleveland, OH The Lutheran Hospital that belongs to the Lutheran Health Network is located in Fort Wayne, IN. The Newsweek ranking indicates that it is in Cleveland OH. Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland is a Cleveland Clinic hospital. I wonder which one they were referring to. I'm sure the CCF people have already talked with Newsweek about this, but Lutheran Hospital is a Cleveland Clinic hospital. Not sure what Lutheran Health Network is, but its not a Cleveland thing

The merit of these rankings can be debated, but it is awfully nice to see that Cleveland has 3 of the top 41 rated hospitals in the world.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
The title of this article is positive, but you need a subscription to Cleveland Business Journal to read the article. Are these numbers real or just a boosteristic spin by Team NEO? I never know if theses sorts of numbers take into account any lost jobs. Any insight from the more knowledgeable among us? NE Ohio added most new jobs in a single year in 2020, report says https://www.cleveland.com/business/2021/03/ne-ohio-added-most-new-jobs-in-a-single-year-in-2020-report-says.html

Cleveland Mayoral Race 2021
Here's been in the Cleveland area for a while. He lives somewhere on the west side--I'm pretty sure his house is somewhere in the eastern part of West Park.

Actually, he was rejected by the City Planning Commission. There was new zoning legislation passed in 2018 that allows for townhomes to be built on parcels that are zoned for 1- or 2-family residential. The CPC must approve the request--effectively allowing a townhome proposal to bypass all of the setback, area and height requirements of the single or two family home zoning. DeCeasare's proposal, for various reasons, was rejected by CPC. He then went to court to appeal and he lost. If he has since put together a new development proposal, then he would not be able to pull a building permit until he has been approved both by landmarks for its design as well as the CPC for townhomes in a 1 or 2 family zoned parcel. If tykaps saw something, my guess is that it would have been the first mandatory step of the building process--filing a site plan for a zoning-only review.

No, he put together another pretty awful design that was rejected by landmarks.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
^I wonder how decision on the location of new Justice Center courthouse tower is impacting landlords' mindsets. If the new courthouse tower does anywhere near Playhouse Square, i would think that the Keith building would see increased demand from small legal offices, etc.

If the new HQ building will take almost 3 years until its available, I wouldn't want to tell my Minneapolis employees now that they'll be moving in 3 years. I would think that would lead to a situation where you lose a lot of employees in the next two years because they have the chance to look for another job close to home. And it would be difficult to hire for those openings. IMHO.

The article about the Kertez proposed development at west 48th is essentially an infomercial by the developer. There are some major inaccuracies in it.

This is great to hear. This site has been dominated by an ugly building and a huge parking lot for so long. I really like that they are adding townhouses to hide the parking on 117th and 118th. The design is bad in many ways.
