Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
While it is not for a mortgage, I have 1.3% interest rate historic renovation loan from Key Bank to do work on my house. So, it is possible.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
^I haven't heard anything about that. I have heard that a developer is getting closer to renovating the old CMHA office building on W.28th and Church into apartments and room for a charter school on the first floor. I guess this would be part of the Exhibit Builders project that is on W.25th. That would be a rather large breath of fresh air for this portion of the neighborhood. According to the auditor's site, "West 25th Lofts" bought the CMHA building last month. If they weren't playing on extending the project to west 25th, they why would they select that name??

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
^I'm not too worried about downtown expanding. We really won't need that space for a long time unless we somehow develop a few microsofts of our own and keep them in the city. I do think that the street size dictates a larger structure for this location. Superior is so big, the townhomes are dwarfed.

Cleveland: Cleveland Institute of Art Expansion
Its fun reading you guys go back and forth. I really hate the new design and I loved the old design. I did hear that the old design is very inefficient and that it didn't serve the staff and student's needs.

The SimCity Thread
I'm jealous. I used to play this a while ago. Once law school started and the kids started being birthed, I've had no time. As a gift last year, my wife suggested SimCity. I said that it is bad idea--SimCity was my crack. Once I get on it, I don't leave it alone for 5-7 hours. It would make me a bad husband and father if I started playing again.

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Slightly better than the first go-round, but still they leave a lot to be desired. There is no place for siding (vinyl, hardiboard, or whatever) in downtown. I'm glad that there is going to be more housing in CSU, but the design is bad. Looks like they added an arch to the housing bridge over the new street. This is better, but I still think that they shouldn't have this bridge element.

Well, we're 1/8 of the way into the season. I can't remember the last time that we've gotten off to such a good start. Long way to go..

Cleveland: Downtown Retail
Not sure if this was mentioned, but it looks like they have started working on the Euclid facade. Scaffolding is up on the eastern end.

Boys, there is no need to go around mispelling the name of the city's best academic institution. It is St. Ignatius.

Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
If they do what they say they are going to do, then I'm fine with it. I think that it is more difficult to get neighborhood retail on Euclid than on Prospect due to the rents. I just don't see how a dry cleaner could justify playing Euclid Ave rents. I agree that the retail economic incentive would be a good idea. I think that they should concentrate on a specific area first.

Cleveland Orchestra News & Info
Hey people, I'm looking to buy christmas concert tickets for 11 people. I'm like to stick to the $48 range--this limits me to certain spots. The $48 ticket puts me on the main floor (as close as the fifth row). I'm thinking that it would be better to be a little farther back than the fifth row. Maybe the 20th would be better--you could see more of the orchestra. Does anyone have any experience with this area of the concert hall?

Cleveland: Neighborhood Tour – Historic Ohio City
Prokno5, Shaker Square, not Circle!!! Or are you confusing it with University Circle? The flag that you talk about is the original Ohio City flag. Back in the early to mid 1800s, Ohio City was a separate municipality before it was annexed. Like many cities, it had its own flag.

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Seems very unlikely that the new construction portion of this project would be going forward at this point. Great to hear that the upper floors are being worked on. We have a lot of "upper floors" downtown that could support a lot of new residents.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
They continue to do "stuff" at the old goodyear service center at 14th and Prospect. They dug something up from the parking lot area yesterday and they continue to gut the interior.
